Shaunie O'Neal isn't feeling everyone on the cast of "Basketball Wives: L.A.", calling some of them "trash!"

When we heard that Gloria and Laura Govan were going to be on Los Angeles edition of her franchise, we knew Shaunie probably wasn't thrilled about their participation. She hadn't really commented on the casting for the "Basketball Wives" spin-off until now, though.

In a recent chat with EbonyJet.com, the series creator revealed that there are definitely some women involved in the new show that she'd rather see on the cutting room floor.

“The L.A. cast--there are some wives and fiancés, which I’m fine with," Shaunie said. But there’s a little bit of trash kind of sprinkled into that cast that I’m totally against. I was really very hands off with that cast.”

That might explain how Laura wound up on the show, because many questioned why Shaunie would intentionally hire a woman once rumored to have had an affair with her ex-husband, Shaquile O'Neal.

As Shaunie stated, she's not salty about the whole cast. In fact, she's good with much of the main casting, particularly the addition of Doug Christie's wife, who is somewhat infamous in NBA circles.

“Yeah, you know they have Jackie Christie, I love her--they have a long-lasting marriage and it works," Shaunie explained. "There's also Malaysia Pargo, you’ve got Imani who was the former fiancée of Stephen Jackson--they went to the altar, you get that connection. These ladies have been around forever in the game of basketball."

Shaunie's problem comes in when women with more tenuous links to men in the NBA make it oncamera. "You’ve got people that just might’ve slept with somebody. I’m not OK with that,” Shaunie stated, without specifically naming names.

She added, “It’s just drama and ... that’s not my vision. I don’t think that all money is good money. I don’t need it that bad. So we are having some issues. I’ve kind of just had to take a backseat and shut up and just let it go, let it ride. It’s David and Goliath right now.”

Shaunie need to shut her lip glossed mouth. That heffa allegedly cheated on her first husband to get with Shaq then cheated on Shaq as he was cheating on her AND then rumor has it she kicked her young stud to the curb cuz he was cheating on her.

So it seems the only ones she isn't feeling are the Govan sisters and Draya. The show is about drama and cattiness which is the same thing we've seen on BBW Miami so to refer to any of the LA women as "trash" is just being a hater and a hypocrite.

Also, if all money isn't good money and she don't "need it that bad" then why the hell is she in this entertainment biz to begin with and wth she coming out with a shoe line? Surely, the settlement from her divorce is enough money to carry her into the next life.

Am I the only one tearing every time Jackie and her "strands" come on screen? I mean really....somebody buy this woman a weave - STAT!

That's was a sad thing to watch. She was clearly having an emotional breakdown. I knew she was losing it when she went and vented/cried/apologized to Kim. This was a woman she couldn't stand last season. Remember the Oklahoma Whup Ass comment?

Sho nuff! She was crying before she got to the event. I think it was because Russell wasn't attending. Perhaps she wanted him to see that their fucked up relationship was not normal and that Taylor was not exaggerating her feelings of being abused or at least unappreciated and respected.

I know this is bad but I'm not sad that man is dead. He always creeped me out.

It's just me, but I'm willing to bet that these chicks are so mixing their booze with pills. Even if they're just being reckless with regular prescription medication and ignoring the orders that you're not supposed to drink while taking them, I refuse to believe that all these spazz-outs that have been on the this episode are just booze alone. I have seen more than enough drunk asses in real life to know all that mania is not the usual side effect of just drinking...I don't care if they're just taking sinus medicine, but something was totally off with these girls this episode.

Agreed! I know ratings are all that matter but DAMN airing this season seems soooo heartless and insensitive. Imagine how their kid is gonna feel when she gets older and understands what happened, can watch the show and is ridiculed by others. Shit is fucking sad.

The first spinoff of The Real Housewives Of Atlanta goes to Kim Zolchiak. Zolchiak is a new mom, and the show will focus on her and her fiancé. A lot of people thought a spinoff would go to NeNe Leakes. The fourth season of Real Housewives Of Atlanta kicks off on the Bravo network in November.

Anyway, I think it will flop bc she is no Bethenney Frankel. MMkay? Now um...the last time I saw pics of Toni, she was hugged up on Usher and she looked pretty much the same and still hot. If she done pulled a Viv or Lil Kim then I will boycott cuz I can't handle too much altered states.

The whole scene where Taylor has her mental breakdown over her marriage and with the "hints" that he was abusing her mentioned by the other ladies, I just felt that was tasteless to air.
