I'm going to work for a company that does hair care and skin care and cosmetics

HELP!!!!

I need a make-over or something bad boxed

I'm a creative, so some level of eccentricity IS acceptable, but I'm thinking get nails done so I look like I even care at all, maybe eyebrows.

Don't get me wrong, I WANT to look nicer, I'm not just doing it for my new job lol

I also need to know what to wear. I'm guessing it's a semi casual work place. I wouldn't wear jeans, but NEARLY that casual.

dead

I haven't worked outside of home (think pyjamas) in 10 years

I guess wearing black clothes as you like to is a good choice. You probably should wesr loads of make-up lol. Sorry I am not of much help. As much as I love styling I am no expert at all when it comes to business outfits lol.

Will you get a gratis from them?

When I worked for cosmetics the company would give a certain amount of $$ in free items.
I mostly used it on drag makeup. lol

What will you be doing for them? I suppose this is what would determine what you should wear. Black is always good/professional in the makeup industry.

You don't need to wear much makeup just because you work for a makeup company. Take care of your skin (with their free products hopefully) and wear a light gloss, maybe a bit of eyeliner. And yes, eyebrows are good. lol I'd imagine they have a natural pencil, you don't need Joan Crawford brows.

Yay job! woot!

I'll be working as a designer. I won't have any customer contact, dealing only with the marketing manager.

The same applies.

If you didn't look appropriately professional to work for them I'm sure you wouldn't have gotten the job in the first place.

A former colleague of mine gave them a glowing recommendation.

Well you have a choice between:

Fashmagslagmakeuptart.

BitchPowerOffice.

or

Wear what you like to be comfortable yet still attempt to "fit in" ie smart but comfortable clothing.

If you wake up, get dressed, look in the mirror and think "who the fuck is that" you're doing it wrong.

Perhaps this:

Left or right, take your pick. Go get 'em girl!

This is my suggestion; Don't worry about getting fake nails (too much upkeep!) Go get you some Chanel "Vamp" and keep them semi-short. I love a hot pink lipstick (but that's just me) It looks good with a dark nail polish- I like Victoria's Secret "Muse". That way you don't have to wear alot of makeup but your nails and lips will really stand out and it looks very polished. smile

Wear black, or white and make sure to wear comfortable shoes so your not miserable. Ballet flats are adorable and go with casual or dressy pants. If your hair's long and too much trouble to sraighten or curl every day, a nice sleek bun at the nape of the neck always looks nice- especially with little pearl earrings. Most importantly, smell good! I've noticed that whenever I wear Victoria's Secret's "VEry Sexy" in the pink bottle I get a million compliments. I was pumping gas yesterday and some guy at the next pump said, "Damn girl! You smell good!" I guess a breeze had blown. smile Oh well, those are my tips- Good luck!

Thanks!!

no lol I was just thinking to get a manicure and clear laquer.

I'll do like all the fashion editors do, bare face nod I have tinted moisturiser, bronzer and gloss. I feel nice in that. I wore my favourite perfume today, it's very subtle but nice.

I wore pinstripe pants and ballet flats - my husband laughed at me because they are black shiny sequined lol but I'm creative! It's allowed nod

I will need to go shopping before I start for reals, since this is the only outfit I have!!! dead
