Strange thing I'm hearing some Californians have moved down south mainly to the ATL.
There are groups in ATL of former Californians. I know Oakland has one. No doubt L.A. also. I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think. |

I wonder do they even predict when they're gonna have quakes there? And I'm not talking from some scientist's point of view. I know we always have predictions on hurricanes when August comes lol [Edited 7/13/11 19:42pm] |

Trying to predict but so far, any warning would be about a minute, depending on where it originates. I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think. |

So they don't find out until THAT DAY? lolwut? People should be prepared for things like that. I'm surprised California tolerates it so much (since they're not actually far from Japan and they're based in the Pacific Ocean). |

Dude, Japan which has the best earthquake prevention practices in the world had something like 7 minutes warning. Grab your ankles cause when it hits you're f**ked! |

You can't predict them in advance with any accuracy. You project a likelihood but nowhere close to predicting a day. In the March earthquake I believe they had two minutes warning.
But you don't know how strong the quake is going to be. I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think. |

I think it's best to be at where you're at. With any West Coast city, you don't know what you can get:
- Earthquakes
- Dust storms
- Heat
- Tsunamis (least in California)

Every state on the Pacific; Alaska, Hawaii, Washington, Oregon and California is subject to earthquakes and tsunamis.
Heat isn't really a problem anywhere on the California coast. Three days of heat and then the natural ac kicks in. In the fall the wind blows out of the inland valley (valleys in SoCal.- Santa Ana winds) and brings heat with it and fires. I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think. |

I know. I read about either state having earthquakes and tsunamis every other month. |

Im from california and i think california is meh. For example, people assume that california is very tolerant of almost everything. however thats not the case people of San Francisco have a very different view about everything than lets say people who live in small cities like San Pablo, Richmond,Oakland, etc. in the bigger city lets say people are more open minded about certain things but in the smaller cities that is not the case. Furthermore I hate this whole thing about "yeah we live in california we are the best" attitude, let me also say that i dislike any form of nationalistic, patriotic, prideful, cheerleader mentality.
