a chance to help Erin (punkmistress) and a chance for YOU to get some Gascot art AND be immortalized in theatre...

i am auctioning off the rights to rename a character in my 5 part play cycle.

for those of you that know me well, you know how much this means if i am altering the 5 scripts and the near 4 years it has taken to write them.

kevin is a major leading character who appears in 3 of the 5 scripts, and is heavily spoken of in the other 2. a major plot point in part 2: beasts of suburbia is finding out kevin is a chosen name, and hearing his birth name for the first time. it is then used several times. this character is one of the most beloved by the early fans, and based on me.

i am auctioning off the right to give the character his birth name. you can name him after you, someone else in your life, or whatever name you like. the only stipulations are that it be a male or unisex name, and not jokey, as i still have to make these scripts workable to an audience.

we are conducting an auction on facebook. all of the donation goes directly to help our beloved erin to get the wheelchair she needs. please look me up on FB under my pen name "cameron cole", although i will check this post as well to see if anyone bids here by mistake.

if the final bid is above $100 i will also put a thank you in the programs and the published script for you. if it is more than $150, i will even consider letting you choose something to replace "kevin."

the last re-naming got a character named "valerie" after a friend of mine who had never even heard of the divicarro family prior to donating/bidding $100

the org can SURELY trump that.

i will also take group bids, if ya'll want to team up. all i ask is to see the receipt emails that paypal sends when you donate to help chris and erin. this way i can make sure the promised amount is met.

just got an initial bid in the form of a voluntary actual donation.

my friend kristy donated $25 to open bidding, and she's never even met erin or chris.

somebody show an odessa texas girl up.

if ya'll have already donated and can prove it, i will even take that as part of the bid.

meaning if you have already donated $25, for a mere $5 BID more you can also win the auction and the re-naming rights. and that is just for BIDDING $5 more. doesnt even mean you have to donate $5 more!

(unless of course, you win the auction)

john's art to help punkmistress and jerseykrs can be found there.

i will even count you buying art from john towards a bid amount. meaning if you buy a $25 piece of art from john and bid $5 here it makes your bid $30.

that's how fucking serious i am about getting erin and chris this wheelchair that she needs.

get ta' helpin, please!

Borgy and Gascot are two of the most creative, expressive, talented, FUNNY, generous and kind motherfuckers ever.

I am so touched and so thankful that they're donating their incredible gifts to my cause!

We're more than 2/3 of the way to our goal for the price of the chair!

touched

This is so exciting!

It's what you make it.

This is wonderful.

I'm donating right now (unfortunately, I'm not in a position to donate what I would like).

But, I think I'm going to see if I can start some kind of donation campaign here.

Like maybe, offer free half hour English tutorials to students who make donations.

My students have very low intrinsic motivation, but generally have big hearts

and obscenely big pocket books. lol

Or if anybody is interested, I can send them one of my paintings too.

But I don't want to set a $100 bottom line on them. Just maybe a lottery

to anybody who donates. Is that ok?

I'm speechless.

I thank you deeply and humbly for every single gesture of support. Offering your art, your labor, your money and your time on behalf of helping me get this wheelchair...I will be forever indebted.

I know how much I want to donate but I can't right now BUT are we allowed to offer a product to orgers and then I can donate that money?

I have a personalised poetry business and would love to donate that money to help Erin get the chair she needs. If any orger wants a personalised poem that money (over $200) will go to help Erin, I have clients all over the world so location isn't an issue.
