Really?!!!
Nope.
I was in the Army in the 80's and there were plenty.
I've also met married men (Black) who told me their wives knew they slept with men before they were married.
well, perhaps they stopped in the late-90s, then
but they have stopped NOW...
plenty? in the army? really?
Before 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' if you wanted to stay in, you found a gay servicemember of the opposite sex to marry.
I don't know why you would think it has stopped or will stop. Same sex marriage won't stop it. I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think. |

then it just for the $ (WASPs), or the fear of losing the support/love of his/her parents/family, but who wants the "love" of a family that cannot accept her/his homosexuality?? That family is not good, plain and simple... but, who am I to criticize? |

For any number of reasons people choose to be closeted, in denial, non-practicing or "former." I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think. |

If I didn't hear it from their wives lips, I'd guess most of these men weren't telling the truth.

I wasn't trying to get to know them THAT well. lol.
I will say that I've met women who would've married me, knowing I did. I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think. |

There have been two cases in the civilian world where I was absolutely sure the husband was gay.
As far as my buddy in North Carolina, that would make a third and personally VERY MUCH CONFIRMED
case.
But in the military gays and lesbians do marry---marriage allows them additional money (since they won't spend their allowances on children) and the chance to live off of the base even if they are low ranking.
So, essentially, they are roomates who are being given additional marriage benefits. Straight friends, I might add, have been known to do this too.
It's quite common in the military, actually. Also, there's a VERY high number of gay an lesbian people in THe Air Force--I thought moreso than in the civilian world, especially for lesbians. |

perhaps I'm so fuckin' naive, but I never thought that a gay man could kill another man. As a straight man, I just wouldn't be able to kill a woman...
so yes, gays CAN kill as well... [Edited 7/4/11 3:41am] |

You're straight? I thought you were bi. If that's a personal question, I apologize, and please disregard.
Anyway, there are plenty of gay-straight mixed marriages still going on these days. I'm really not sure what your point about killing is. |

I'm bi but more like 60% straight / 40 % Bi-curious gay. But if I say "I'm straight" is because, so far, I haven't feel the urge to have sex with another man...
my point about killing is simple!: gays shouldn't kill men (anyone)! Gay people are always preaching for love and peace, and I want it to be that way!
really, war is for straight males with "romantic" visions about past wars...
no soldiers...no wars...

How long have you known Vainandy? You don't think he'd kill a man?!!!!!! lmao
Gays can and do. A guy I grew up with is serving life for killing his partner at the time. I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think. |

We'd have wars with or without soldiers. They tend to end faster with soldiers however.
"Gay people are always preaching for love and peace." Tolerance and equality are not love and peace. I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think. |
