Can anyone play videos on there right now? I tried other video sites and it's working just fine but it seems like YouTube's got errors.

Just to clarify, I can play them when it's posted in its old format but on the new format on the site where the video is located at, nothing.

Possible bug in its site again?

Like I said, it plays... but strangely if you click on the video's page, nothing...

Then I'm not the only one? I swear it was working fine yesterday. I went to the site to post a link to the video (which can play after you embed it) and the video just turned out BLANK.

Right, I don't get that either. You know for a popular company as YouTube is, it can cause quite a headache. If you do tell them something's wrong with the videos, they'll just say "well see if it's your Flash".

Had to resort to typing it "https" for now.

Well, thats because people who publish their videos on youtube can enable an option in their settings to not allow videos to be streamed offsite so you have to do the click-through. Primarily because they gain ad-sales and cuz they want people to sub to them, etc. There's no chicanery going on and I dunno how that is 'wacky'...

It's based on your security settings. That's why. HTTPS just means a secure server. If you've set up your browser that way (or your internet settings elsewhere), you'll see that.
