The secret to easy ironing is a GOOD heavy iron with steam... Not some cheapy little walmart iron... Its one of those investments that pays off in the long run lol

Yup, that's the ticket! You ever go to those home shows where they have all these different vendors selling all kinds of stuff for the home? I went to one about 4-5 years ago where this woman was demonstrating this kick-ass steam iron. It would iron through 4 layers of denim, like a pair a heavy jeans, with one pass on one side. Then she picked the iron up and touched it to a balloon, and the thing didn't burst! It was freakin amazing. I wanted that iron so badly, but I didn't want to pay $250 for an iron.

No, but that iron is making me drooling

I hate cleaning the bathroom.

hmph!

I will iron, wash dishes, mow the lawn, paint a room...but please don't ask me to scrub a toilet!

I live alone, so I have no problem cleaning the toilet.

A family? Nah, I did enough of that growing up. lol

I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

I can't even go outside without my outfits being ironed. I even press my pajamas/house clothes before putting them on if they're too wrinkled, lol.

unless you cook, you (and other husbands I know of) come home with loads of stuff that you can't make a meal with

Yup.

Being a bachelor, I've learned. Keep the staples on hand. I found pasta sauces in the jar work not only with pasta, but rice and potatoes. (I haven't tried a tomato based sauce with potatoes but I'm considering it.) I also keep the ingredients for my favorite dishes on hand.

Tomato sauces on potatoes are great ~especially chunky ones ~ I boil and smash the potatoes then put the sauce over top. You can add other vegetables. Good and hearty, filled with vitamins and potassium.

I hate to iron too that's why I bought a clothes steamer! It works great! The one household chore I truly loathe is dusting...YUCK!

I love dusting. Swiffer is the greatest invention known to man. love

When are you coming back our way? I will be sure to have a swiffer on hand just for you! lol

I enjoy ironing. I like the way the blouse, pants or whatever looks new again.

I'd love someone to iron my bed sheets for me, so it's all lovely and crisp and smooth when I climb in cloud9 however that short-lived feeling isn't worth the hours it would take me to do it myself lol

I was helping gown dignitaries for a recent graduation, and one of those was available. I asked if it really worked, and this woman said she hadn't touched an iron since she got the steamer. I always thought they were too expensive, but I see the one in your link is very reasonable. However, I don't have anywhere to store the damn thing!

We don't store it. It stays out in the guest room (Ron's dressing room). When we have guests I put it in my studio.

Well, if shown how to use it properly I don't see how it's any less safe than an iron. You can burn yourself with both. lol

I can't think of a single household chore that I enjoy doing.

As far as ironing, my mother hates it, too. She taught me if something is wrinkled, toss it in the dryer. It usually works for me.
