What is the purpose of a text-to-landline message?

Is speaking into a telephone too much effort? You would rather have a computer audibly garble your already barely literate writings? Seriously? SERIOUSLY?!?!? disbelief

My building manager has this service on his landline because everyone texts it not knowing it's not a mobile number.

The real question is... WHO HAS A LANDLINE! lol

I had something like this this week but it was autocall and it was a wrong number...some bum who didn't have any credit on his mobile wanting one of his brethen to call him rolleyes

Ive used it to send my brother a message because he didnt have his cell phone on and I was not able to "talk" on the phone... And i I dont write things down or call when im thinking of something chances are im gonna forget about it later on lol
