When I first saw this poster I thought it was really cool, and it is if you view it completely out of context.

A lot of people who read the books are really pissed about this poster, though. I haven't read the series yet - I just started the first book the other day - but after reading a synopsis of the story and about the history of the Lisabeth Salander character, I kinda understand people's annoyance; it really isn't true to the character and is borderline offensive when you take the actual events in the book into account.

"I don't think you'd do well in captivity." - random person's comment to me the other day

I'm all for nudity, but why not a shot from behind showing her tattoo?

This seems kinda calculated to get attention, though as mentioned it will not be hung anywhere in public anyway

That poster kind of annoys the hell out of me.

I have decidedly mixed feelings about the book series as it is. And I'm even less enthusiastic about an American version of the film.

Also, can we all admit that the mystery that is at the heart of the first book is...well, it's just about the most brain-dead mystery ever. It would have been stupid even in an Encyclopedia Brown book.

The movie? Yeah, it's beautifully shot. The cinematography is really cool on it.

You didn't know there were Swedish films? I guess that's why so many foreign movies get Amercian remakes. The first one was the best, but I thought all three weren't bad.

I thihk the picture itself is cool, but it's a little contrary to her character and the book's message.

She looks like she is being protected by the man, where in the book he is naked and she protects him

True. The poster would work better advertising the sequels.

I'm only going because Trent reznor is doing the score for the movie.

I watched all 3 on Netflix biggrin I liked...

I just finished reading the trilogy last week so it was still easy to recognize what they left out, and what they changed -- but it was still good, IMHO

I see in IMDb that there was a mini tv series, too (same actors).. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1634549

hmmmm
