I din't get a chance to comment on the Miami reunion before the other thread died. pout

Gatdamn, that Adrianna was on fiyah! I agree with Ottie she ramped it up to secure a second season but I think that ship has sailed.

As for Larsa and Marysol, I want to know what happened during the commercial break. Ya'll remember when they came back from break and Andy was looking all frazzled and said they had "just had a knock down, drag out fight"??? Really? Then why we ain't see it??? And did you catch when Marysol said Larsa isn't what she presents and is really broke? Now, if Marysol said it, I know that shit's true.

See, that's the problem with doing the reunion live, if it was taped for HOURS we'da had a bunch of hot footage and they woulda aired all the bitchfight

Lame, Bravo, LAME!!! boo

Bravo announced 11 new series Wednesday, but the one that caught our eye was Most Eligible: Dallas. Here's the description, straight from the release:

"They're young, they're hot, they're single -- they're Dallas' Most Eligible. From beauty queens to pro-football players, this group of Texas socialites puts NY and LA nightlife to shame. It's true what they say, everything's bigger in Texas -- including the drama especially when it comes to dating. Some are looking for true love while others have perfected the art of the one-night stand, and somehow their love lives have all crossed paths at one time or another. Dallas serves as the sexy backdrop for this jaw-dropping docu-series that follows a group of successful friends living it up like only Texas socialites can."

We'd been wondering when Bravo would get around to a Real Housewives of Dallas (or Plano, or Frisco, or Southlake, or ...), but apparently Bravo is more interested in the single life around D-FW. Curious how much of it will just be Dallas and whether its tentacles will stretch to Fort Worth and elsewhere. No date has been set for its premiere.

Other announced series (several titles may change):

Interior Therapy With Jeff Lewis: The OCD Flipping Out star flips in with an interior-decorating/makeover show.

It's a Brad Brad World: Especially if you're Brad Goreski, a former Rachel Zoe assistant who's launching his own fashion career.

The Therapists: Real therapists have their own problems, just like fictional ones. Except they're compounded because these therapists work and live in Los Angeles.

Mad Fashion: "An up-close look at the over-the-top world of celebrity fashion designer [and Project Runway grad] Chris March."

Million Dollar Listing NY: If you're familiar with the high-rolling Los Angeles-based real estate series Million Dollar Listing, you can probably figure this one out by the title.

Miss Advised: Relationship experts sometimes have trouble with their own relationships, or so this show about three relationship experts reveals. Who knew?

Project Soulmate: Matchmaker Lori Zaslow helps people find love in New York while balancing her own duties as a wife and mom.

Roble and Co.: Chef Roble Ali and his bossy (their word) big sister try to launch a catering business in New York.

Tabatha Takes Over: Hairstylist Tabatha Coffey moves on from taking over hair salons to taking over small businesses and getting them to shape up.

Ready to Wear: It's about Second Time Around, a high-end New York consignment shop, and the employees who hunt down clothes to resell.

Bravo also renewed Top Chef: Just Desserts, Bethenny Ever After, Tabatha's Salon Takeover, and the Atlanta and Beverly Hills installments of the Real Housewives franchise

Man, I can't believe the opportunities these chicks be gettin'. I liked Dina tho, classy but could cut ya! Really pretty too. thumbs up!

Dina Manzo, the Franklin Lakes woman who rose to fame as an original member of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey," is returning to the air with a series all her own.

Manzo has been tabbed as the centerpiece of a new HGTV reality show on party planning. Cameras will follow Manzo's every step as her event company (Design Affairs) sets up weddings, showers and graduation parties.

"Dina is an accomplished interior designer and also runs a thriving event-planning business," HGTV general manager Kathleen Finch said in a press release. "Her 'Real Housewives' fans will be very surprised to see this side of her. Dina brings a unique set of skills to HGTV and I'm thrilled to have her join our growing team of expert talent."

The show is set to begin production. No premiere date has been announced.

Right?! Too sad. hah!

The Braxton sisters - Toni (c.) and (l-f.) Towanda, Traci, Trina and Tamar - show off their 'family values' in a new reality series on We.

Watching Tamar Braxton whine that she's tired of being a backup singer for her sister Toni isn't just standard reality-show drama, insists Tamar.

So even though she whines incessantly on "Braxton Family Values," which features the five Braxton sisters and premieres tonight at 9 on We, Tamar says the show has a higher purpose.

"We didn't do this as a career move," she says. "It's something we felt we had to do. We thought that as females, it could make a difference in other people's lives."

However therapeutic "Braxton Family Values" turns out to be for America, it does prove that even if Toni Braxton is the most recognizable name, she yields nothing to her sisters for drama.

None of Bravo's "Housewives" send big and small life crises hurtling toward viewers faster than the Braxton sisters.

Toni has sold 40 million records, filed for bankruptcy twice, suffered serious health issues and undergone a very public marital split. But line her up next to Towanda, Trina, Traci and especially Tamar, and the competition is on.

"I got the idea for this show in 2008," says Tamar. "And all my sisters were like, 'No way.' But then I think we realized we all had stories to tell. People are going to look into your life anyway. So why not tell the story yourself?"

"I'll be honest," says Toni. "I was a little concerned. But my sisters convinced me."

"Braxton Family Values," which also features mother Evelyn, has standard reality-show moments: complaining, eye-rolling, frustration that no one seems to get what one person is saying.

Where it differs, says Tamar, is that "when it's over, we can't just go home until next season. We still have to deal with each other."

For instance: Tamar is married to Toni's manager, Vincent Herbert. Vince also manages Lady Gaga and is one of the major players in popular music these days. That's one reason Tamar wants to know why he hasn't made her a star yet.

He explains that he drew her up a solo contract six months ago, but that she won't sign it because he won't guarantee her first recording will be out within a year.

He says it would be career suicide to force a release if it isn't perfect by then, because these days artists get no second chances. She's not buying.

Meanwhile, Traci is out of the music business and misses it. Towanda has become Toni's personal assistant and that 2-4/7 job often drives her nuts. Towanda also has marriage problems.

Trina is sparring with alcohol.

Toni doesn't discuss her marriage, but does say health problems, including lupus, are what caused her money to run out. Now, she says, she's trying to stabilize her health, career and life.

"There are good days and bad days," she says. "I don't want this show to be about me being a diva or the glam, because I can do that on stage. I want people to see me a a sister and a mom."

If the show doesn't help America, it still could help the Braxtons.

"This show made us very close," says Trina. "It made us do a lot of healing."

I have to say, judging by the preview only, that those mob wives have to be some of the most busted long island heffas I have ever laid eyes on. After my initial gag, I realized that they were beat up much the same way the wives from the film Goodfellas were beat up. I suppose its a look that they strive for; bad skin, oily hair, lined in eyebrows, heavy mascara, bad dye jobs, cheap clothes underneath decent furs, and 99 cent lipstick. I don't know if will be able to tolerate this show for very long but I am willing to give it a try. The one chick putting another woman in a chokehold is must see tv. popcorn

I watched Wendy last night, and she had the Braxton sisters and mom on the show, seeing the different personalities and how outspoken they are makes it look like at least the first session would be an interesting watch.

I also caught Beverly Hills Fab. last night it's growing on me even though it does seem so scripted but hell most (all) of these show seem scripted to some degree.

Peeked in on Bethanny, though I'm not techically watching it, looks like out of all these folks she's the most well adjusted, I'm happy she's doing well, though I do miss her on NYHW, but it looks like after the first sessions all the HWs egos get so big they hardly seem like the same people, the chemistry between them seems to fall apart as they start pushing so hard to sell their brand of whatever. I guess it was much better for Bethanny just to grab the horns and go for it on her own.

Gonna watch Toya tonight (I believe), I think she's adorable with her country self, hope she's got sense enough to hold on to some of that for a while.

Mob Wives, I don't know, I watched Gotti's daughter a few years ago and it was pretty boring, all I think I remember about that show was wondering why with all that money that chile had such a bad weave and bleach job, as she gave her son a hard time about buying a fake chinchilla coat.

The sad thing is that one chick who's Sammy the bull Gravano's daughter had a makeover cuz she looks much better (I know ain't saying much) on the show than she did in her mugshot. Okay, that alone tells you this a whole new underground garage level of hood-type shit. lol

I'm not sure about the rest of them (Typically we black ladies don't age because of the melanin in our skin, and you can at least see some skin imperfections, slight aging if you will in the ladies here), but Tamar (on the left) is looking a bit tweaked. I mean, Botox parties are all the rage these days, so it could be a possibility? hmmm

Actually, I think that's Tamar on the right hmmm

Yeah, the one on the left is Towanda, her assistant with the open marriage.

Toni Braxton, Sisters Bring Their 'Values' to TV

Toni Braxton may be the most famous of the five Braxton sisters, but after watching Trina, Tamar, Towanda, Traci and their mom, Evelyn, it’s safe to say she has a lot of competition in the drama department. The Grammy Award-winning songstress is the oldest of the Braxton children (there is one brother, who appears briefly on an episode), but on this show, Toni’s one of the calmer personalities.

From DUI’s to marriage problems to sibling rivalry to divorce and its aftermath, it’s safe to say that “Braxton Family Values” has it all. It premieres tonight at 9 p.m. on WEtv.

We caught up with two of the Braxton sisters, Toni and Tamar, to see what we could expect from this debut season.

BLACKAMERICAWEB.COM: There’s so much “reality” on TV these days. What makes “Braxton Family Values” different?

TAMAR: I can’t say it will be so much different than other family reality shows, except that now we have a major superstar and all her sisters. That’s five different strong personalities and our mother, and you’ll be able to take a look at all of that. Everyone wants a little bit of the American dream.

Tamar, you’re a big reality TV fan. Was there anything you wanted to see on the show when you put it together?

TAMAR: Absolutely. As a reality TV fan, they are entertaining shows. They’re funny, and they’re great, and you see them every week. But I haven’t seen the show yet where I can apply them to my life. When I sat with my sisters, it was really important that this show was about values. And not only us learning things about each other as women, but the viewers as well. So on our show, if we argue just like siblings do, there’s no physical fighting. No one is throwing no book at each other or anything like that. It’s another side of family.

Before the show, did you guys always spend this much time together? Do you all live in the same city, or did you come together specifically to do the show?

TAMAR: We work together, so we are usually all together, with the exception of Traci, who’s not around us this often, which we are enjoying. Toni, Towanda and Trina live in Atlanta, and I live in L.A., but I spend a lot of time in Atlanta.

Tamar, your husband is Toni’s manager and producer, but he’s also overseeing your career as well. How did all that happen?

TAMAR: My husband [Vincent Herbert] did “How Many Ways” on Toni’s first album when he was very, very young. So they became really, really tight, and one day, Toni decided she was tired of him being single, and she decided to hook us up on a date. Vincent and I became friends, and then we got married.

TONI: Everybody says my sister Trina’s the alcoholic, but it’s so much stuff that I’ve thought about turning to the bottle because it’s too much.

TAMAR: Yeah, it’s a lot. It’s a lot, but that muscle’s already been exercised, in terms of working with our family. We’ve been doing that our whole life.

Tamar, it must be especially hard for you because you want to have your own singing career.

TAMAR: Absolutely. And it’s challenging because when you see your spouse work - and it’s work - but when you see him working for other people ...

TONI: Other female artists ...

TAMAR: Other female artists! As a female and as an artist, that’s where the disappointment and confusion comes from.

Toni, you’ve been through your own share of drama in your life and career, but on the show, you come across as the voice of reason. Is that true throughout the show?

TONI: Pretty much. I’m the oldest, so I’m kind of like the second mom. There’s a big age difference between me and my sisters. Between me and Traci, it’s like four years, and between me and Tamar, it’s like 11. It’s a big difference. So when I was 20, my next sister was like, 15.

How did that impact the family dynamic? Did they get tired of you being the second mom?

TONI: It just kind of worked out that way, but sometimes I’m sure they were like “hated it.”

TAMAR: Yes, we did! (Laughs)

What’s been the biggest challenge of working together on this show?

TONI: Just one serving of my mom and dad together. They hate each other. After 35 years of marriage. That’s where the idea of the show came from when we all had Thanksgiving together. My mom hates my dad. He remarried 30 days after the divorce was finalized. It’s a mess when they get together. My mom is real First Lady until my dad comes in the room.

Was there anything off limits or that we won’t see on the show?

TONI: I don’t talk about my marriage. I have my son, Diesel; he’s special needs (autistic), but he’s in the show very minimally. But everything we decided to talk about, we were honest and candid about. We told 100-percent of the truth because who wants to remember lies?

Toni, are you still married or are you divorced?

TONI: I’m legally separated but not divorced. You might see him walking by at a few concerts because we still work together when I have shows. But other than that, you won’t see him at all.

How real is this reality show?

TAMAR: Oh, this is definitely reality. We didn’t have no scripts in hand -

TONI: At all.

TAMAR: Nobody told us what we should be doing. We just lived our lives, and the cameras followed us.

TONI: Nobody believed us, but the producers on the show were telling everyone, "They were pretty candid, guys; this is not a reality-based show." The only thing they were telling us was "Could you wear the shirt you wore last week? Because we want to shoot the episode in one day." They just told us, "Be who you are." Other places we considered want to change us and have us do buffoonery.

TAMAR: They wanted to make us physically fight, and that’s not who we are. That’s not why we wanted to do the show. With reality TV being so big, we had to bring something different to the table.

Did you learn anything new about each other? Did it hurt or help your relationships?

TAMAR: We definitely learned something new about each and every one of us, including myself. I had to grow up a bit. I was a bit of a baby.

TONI: Oh, praise God! You admit that now.

TAMAR: I’m a work in progress. I’m trying to use ... my ... words. (Laughs)

TONI: (Laughs.)

Toni, when’s the next album? I’m still playing “Libra.”

TONI: I haven’t decided. I’m thinking about retiring because my health has had me a little down lately. But I will see.

The Braxton sisters - Toni (c.) and (l-f.) Towanda, Traci, Trina and Tamar - show off their 'family values' in a new reality series on We.

They look much better than these pics suggest.
