wait...were you talking about the Korean guy?

Both don't have a brilliant voice, but the Korean guy really was completely off-key at times.

But, yeah, shows like these are not about musicality or hardly ever about real talent. It's the story that makes people cry and feel all emotional and what sells, in the end. Not his voice. I had to experience that first hand.

She said he started singing at a certain time so I started watching the video at that time.

A person's story has no effect on how good of a singer someone is. Maybe it shows perseverance, strength and courage and can touch you for those reasons but it doesn't make a bad singer a good singer.

He sings a million times better than I ever could, but his story and perseverance is what made his performance so completely awesome!

His voice is fine, he's just not hitting the notes. Not sure how that can make someone completely "cold".

Play the part, bitch!

I will, if you don't mind.

I absolutely hate feelings. Always despised them. All the people in the audience are fucking queer and this fat bloke is stupid. I don't like fat people. I don't like Chinese people. I don't like poor people either.

How's that for a start?

That was beautiful.

With some practice, he could probably do a great rendition of Nesun Dorma (one of my favorite tunes).

She's a'ight. shrug Do you watch the Korean game shows like 'X-Men' and 'Love Letter' they show over here, that always have all the same actors, singers and comedians on them? I don't know why it is, given I dig quite a few Thai and Japanese women I see on TV, but even though some of the Korean girls on those shows are obviously very attractive I just find them kinda dull and lacking sex appeal.

I know, I know, but there's just something about some, either kinda sexless and conservative, sort of dull and lacking anything close to charisma, or slutty in a really forced, not genuinely, naturally, like an animal in the sack sexy way. Like a caricature of sexy. Or maybe kinda packaged and try-hard or something, or going through the motions. I don't know, I can't really explain. lol

Hey, it's just a vibe I get. Funnily enough we made friends with a couple of Korean girls, who were very cool, not unattractive, but who don't look like actresses, singers or models on Korean game shows, but they gave off the same vibe too, physically (though personality-wise they were smart and fun).

Chile, you're British. Just cuz your wife digs Korean men doesn't mean you gotta be self conscious about it! Your Anglo over-endowments should make you more relaxed about all this.

I don't think they had them. Just lower backs and upper legs and some unremarkable item of clothing, probably medium-sized shorts, that overlapped the two areas.

Look, my skin is bad when I shave ok? I can't have baby soft, clean-shaven skin and look like a 16 year old boy and I don't have enough hair to do that just rolled out of bed but then also fell on a bottle of orange-brown hair dye shit. Stop reading my insecurities like a book! bawl

because first you said "is this a joke?" he wasn't THAT bad. and you seemed so indifferent to the man's story...which now I know you didn't watch...so it make sense. I guess you're not THAT cold. wink

I never said it did. What I meant was that fellas like him would have such an impact on people without the story. People may be "more tolerant" about his voice after hearing his story (I'm talking about the average, non-musically gifted person who watches such shows for entertainment). I'm sure most of those people crying in the audience and loving his singing wouldn't bother about it if they heard him at a random night-club.

So, basically I'm saying the same. A person's story doesn't make a bad singer or a good singer. His story may be touching, but his singing isn't.
