I've been taking this stuff called ON Essential Amino Energy. I've taken energy drinks in the past and I've always experienced side effects. Not with this, however. It's amazing! It gets me thru some pretty intense cardio workouts and I'm not tired afterwards like I usually am. It, along with 4000 mg of B-12, gives me energy during the day. Before I started drinking this stuff, I was always so sluggish and cloudy during the day. It's like $25 a can (and the can ain't that big) but it has been so worth the benefits I've been experiencing.

I bought some on line and unfortunately I don't have them with me. They are suppose to make me more beautiful and compliment the mineral makeup I also bought lol Neither of these products do I use enough. Anyway, I will say that I am less hungry when I do take these vitamin packets.

Experts will tell you that the disease is incurable, but others stand firm in the belief that Olive Leaf Extract naturally heals the Herpes virus. Her boyfriend knows her health history.

I've had chronic insomnia for years now so, no, this doesn't affect my sleep. I usually workout first thing in the morning so about time evening comes around, the effect of the drink have worn off. the label does warn you not to drink it in the evening if you have trouble sleeping. But, I can not recommend this product enough to anyone looking for help to get thru an intense cardio workout.

Can somebody explain to me why Americans buy that much supplements?

In Europe people rarely use supplements and there has been many studies showing supplement consuming is often useless.

A couple months ago, I stopped taking a lot of the vitimins and supplements I used to take simply b/c I could not financially afford to keep buying all that stuff. After 2 months of not taking them, I don't feel any different than I did when I was taking them everyday.

i think a lot of our food supply is suspect.. pesticides, chemical additives, contaminations (& recalls) & what not, microwave use, pre-packaged/processed food.... a lot ends up being crap/bad for you and not really nutritious -- unless it's organic and non-GMO, which is expensive neutral

-- also, there's impatience.. I think a lot of folks think it's easier/quicker than eating right to begin with (and it doesn't help the way that a lot of things are marketed here, often with lies or unsubstantiated proof that 'supplement/product A' even works)

but, there's also those of us who do need some help -- I have iron (since birth) and vitamin D (since 30s) deficiences ~ b/c of my job, I don't often get the proper exercise (or rest) that I should... though I eat pretty healthy, I still need a boost in pill form sometimes smile

Well, I do understand that in some medical cases additional supplements are necessary. I used magnesium for a while on advice.

But I really don't understand the relation between 'taking supplements' and the fear for 'pesticides, additives and other contaminations'. Supplements don't help for it.

And secondly it's a myth that GMO's are bad for you in any kind of way. People really don't know what happen to GMO-crops. The use of GMO's in the future is essential to keep the world-foodsupply healthy. And mostly the aim of the modified genes in the crops do not affect the nutrients of it. Modifiying the genes of crops reduce the use of pesticides and herbicides in fact. Also plant invest more energy in producing seeds and fruits instead of leafs, so the production and quality can be a lot higher.

Eating a healthy variaty of vegetables and fruits(&nuts) is good enough for your vitamines and anti-oxidants.

And a lot of supplements have not been proven to be effective.

I feel much better after taking my B vitamins (B-50 complex); I have more energy. Vitamin Water Engery (the yellow stuff) is pretty good as a little pick me up over coffee.

Now I will say this...I don't see how skin care products with vitamins added to them are supposed to work. The skin is a barrier and even though it can absorb some products I'd think most lotions, creams and oils don't penetrate far enough to gurantee long term results. In other words, we're about to have smooth supple skin until the next shower session. smile

if nutrients are depleted due to x, y, z (or some component of x, y or z makes you sick), supplements will give you some of what you're not getting

how about we don't yet know what effect GMOs will have on us? why can't they test it before just forcing upon everybody? or just stop polluting every dang thing.. smile

another problem with getting the best nutrients from fruit, veggies, etc is in how the food is prepared.. overcooking things like spinach will leave it drained of its nutrients

I've always seen cooking as science and math (fun subjects for me geek ) (and art..) -- not a lot of ppl know how to cook well (healthy) and/or rely on crap like fast food for the majority of their diet.

GMO's are being tested, but there are things you cannot oversee on the short-term. And with this I mean the ecological problems that can occur (What if herbicide-resistence is transferred to weeds?). But for the consumer-part, there are very few, maybe no dangers at all. More then five million people each year die from the use of tobacco and no casualties have been reported so far on GMO's. From the biological side of the subject, I can hardly see any danger in consuming GMO's. The fear for inserted genes that could cause allergic reactions is ungrounded because it's very unlikely and is been tested a lot before a GMO goes in production.

So ecological danger? Maybe... Danger for the consumer? very unlikely, smoking is worse.

Interesting smile, well it's really an American thing that people rely that much and the badkind of food.

Cooking well is a good thing.

Yes, I do have to agree with that. My B-12's are the only vitamins I'm still taking. Definately notice a difference in my energy levels when I take those.

When I eat greasu foods.. pizza and such, I drink some apple cider vinega afterwards to ward off heartburn.

I eat raw cloves of garlic to get better if I feel a cold comming on.

I love stevia... the fresh plant... I need to actually buy a new plant. I killed many seedlings because I planted them when it was still a bit too cold outside.

I read recently that raw cloves of garlic also get rid of gross stomach bacteria that adds inches to the waist line. I bought some but forget to use it mad
