Wonderful accessory bar none!

Love lingerie! I like those old school lingerie pieces and nightgowns that you see in films from the 30s/40s/50s. Absolutely glamours and feminine. I was watching Catwoman the other night, don't ask why, and Sharon Stone had on the most adorable robe and gown! The gown appeared to be pink silk with lace and the robe had a feathery colar to it. Just darling!

Granted, a lot of men may just view lingerie as a teaser and their more interested in the goodies underneath but I'm sure they'd rather see their lady in lingerie versus some old raggedy and stained t-shirt. It's all about the visual. lol

You are so right. I just watched "Cat on a hot tin roof" with Elizabeth Taylor and Maggie the cat in a fitted slip has it all over these video vixens and their cut up t shirts. Rita Hayworth also wore great lingerie!

There came a time when the risk of remaining tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. Anais Nin.

Sorry whistle but you and Erin are wrong. There are plenty of men that get drippy just looking at this woman. Not only that, men have the ability, when they are horny, to photoshop a woman with their minds and take off all the things about her body they find undesireable. I think many a man would prefer a woman who is imaginative and uninhibited and plus size over one who is constantly picking out her flaws despite the fact that she is model perfect.

I never said a thing about that woman. confuse

And even though that woman is considered "plus sized", most overweight women do not have bodies like that....or thin looking faces like she has.

I agree

I've been with my fair share of big women. And thin ones. There's times where lingere don't help the thing chick much. Occasionally, not often, but it happens.

And with the "real" plus sizers, it help some. It don't turn them into a dime instantly, but definatly improves the situation in that respect. The effort, the accentuation, hides some things.

What REALLY helps EVERYONE is attitude and confidence.

lingere can sometime help with the confidence and attitude as well.

When I was a swinger wayback, there was some hits....and there was some misses.

I went to several different swingers clubs in Orange County, Encino too AND Palmdale...(wow...this is grossing me out now...lol). It was Orange County because I lived in San Bernardino county and they're far apart...didn't want to run into any locals...lol.

I see. Wow I wonder how a man can even get hard if the woman is not hot in his opinion. I guess I will never understand men shrug lol.

our sexual cues aren't only the individual U're engaed with. It's also situational. When u're in a house where people are fuckin in every room. believe me...U "become prepard" without much effort.

Like how weddings get chicks all gushy and according to popular myth, easy to lay.

If mayte was standing Nude infront of me and begging for my cock, but I was in a gross bathroom at a rave/nightclub...it ain't happening.

eek Weddings, I guess they have the oposite effect on me spit.
I am very different to you. For me the person is important and the situation not so much. If I am not into the person nothing will happen no matter what sexy situation we are into. On the other hand if I feel like having sex with my man it doesn't matter much if the place is not exactly nice.

I disagree, lingerie is just like any other type o clothing.

You have to wear what flatters your shape. Thick, thin, tall or short... just like a bathing suit or a pair of jeans, you have to wear the right cut and shape that flatters.

Now I am of the mindset if you have a rocking hard body, then you don't need to wear ANYTHING at all.

But if you have flaws, cellulite, a wide mid-section, small bust, droopy bust, or stretch marks... etc, then you can find any lingerie that will flatter you and shape you to a more desired effect.

You can do more or less coverage depending on what flatters, or wear something that is totally wrong for your shape.

Me... I am a big girl and I look damn good in anything I wear.... that includes my bathing suit and and pretty panties I own. biggrin

Sometimes, it helps to hide a few flaws...

Waste of money UNLESS you look like these women.

If you mean... "these women (... after photoshop, tons of make-up, hair, and padding) ".... then yeah... because a real hot woman looks best naked and needs no glad rags to set a mood... us regular girls need a bit of lace to hide the lumps and make the bumps curve the right way. lol

eek disbelief

Then Tony countered with the fact that there was plenty of BBW's with pretty ligerie and posted a pic of one beauty.

Then and only then WELL AFTER ERIN' S REMARK whistle showed the disbelief emoticon which I took as meaning that Whistle did not like the looks of that girl.

Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

My response is that

CONTRARY to what Erin said, even if she does not have the figure of the original "girls in lingerie:' posted she still would not be wasting her money if she spent it on lingerie. Sure Erin is not as young as she use to be and eventually that tah tah's of hers will fall a bit but that does not mean that her sexual attractiveness will vanish.

Yes there are the whistles of the world that are not into plus size woman, but if Erin were to need a size 14 or larger plenty of men would still find her very very hot in lingerie.

If anyone SHOULD put money into their undergarments and lingerie it IS the plus size woman.

Painted lady is right, it lifts and seperates, camoflages and helps her realize her sexy side.

Lingerie like all clothes shows off your personality. Blah clothes and blah lingerie sends the message that your a blah person.

My last point is that no matter how fat you are, if you have personality and sexual energy lingerie is good for you. Just make sure it suits your personality, and only after that worry a bit about body type. If your not a "babydoll" kind of lady then leave that on the rack for the next girl, even if it DOES hide your pooch.

You need to show off your personality and your sexy side at the same time as you cover or take attention away from your biggest flaws.

If anybody is wasting their money on lingerie it is the girls whose tits stick straight out, thighs do not touch and stomach is flat, ass is high and round and waist is narrow. Those chicks just need cheepo stuff for fun or nothing at all.

Most woman over 30 no longer fall into that categorie.

Thanks. lol

Here's the thing. I used to hate the whole lingerie thing. Threw out the, "You're just objectifying me - you should love me for me" line that women of my era were steeped in. (Feminism was great for getting a job, but all that other bullshit really screwed things up between men and women, as far as I'm concerned. disbelief )

Eventually, I got over myself and got it through my thick skull that having a man who is hot for you is a gift - and that keeping him that way is an art worth learning.

I just wished I'd learned the lesson when I was younger and hotter. Of course...if I had...we'd probably have combusted spontaneously by now, so... lol

[Edited 5/24/11 6:39am]

I keep thinking of this post and just how very true it is. Those of us who were teenagers in the 70's got a big earful of "I am woman hear me roar" and things got very weird. In new England were I was brought up, woman were already on the little grey wren side; dull colors, simple hairstyles, tiny jewelry and very little make-up. Add to that the womans movement and suddenly all artifice was nothing more then being servile.

I need my flamboyance. It is a big part of my personality and if I was a man I would be a flamboyant one.
