It always seems like the famous women you think may take a beak and have kids NEVER do- but others make it a priority. I've always wondered why? I always thought that Janet Jackson would have a kid- but it was Madonna that made it a priority. Or Halle Berry but no... And then you have the trend of stars having babies after 40 but JMHO I think that Kelly Preston went too far- 48? I mean what's the next trend- stars in their 50's giving birth?

I would say that eventhough they are Hollywood stars, they are also human beings, so their desire to have a family or not have a family varies like any other human being on the planet.

They are just like you and me and they have preferences and make choices.

I imagine it simply depends on the person and what their preferences and priorities are...not what the public projects onto them. At the end of the day they're just people who make choices for what they feel is best for their own lives just like the rest of us

Because they're human.

The difference is that the factors that keep couples together (namely, financial and support) are different from people who earn lots of money---they're more likely to breakup than everyone else.

I've known far too many couples who stuck it out because of the kids or for financial reasons. These reasons don't exist for stars.

I believe, but am not certain, that Gina Davis and Holly Hunter have done this.

Anyway, since we are speaking primarily of women, my guess is that some women are just not inclined to be mothers while others want to establish their careers prior to having babies. It's no different that what non-celebrity women do.

The spotlight is on them so we make a bigger deal about why Jennifer Anniston is not opting for motherhood and why Angelina Joile is expanding her brood like a used car lot. I say to each their own. As long as the kids are loved and these celebs are not having them because it's "fashionable" and "trendy".

Now if Paris Hilton has a kid....I'm calling the authorities!

I understand the point but these people say at one time or another that they want a family. Hence the question.

Too much loot on the line 4 those who choose career. Hollywood careers are generally rather short.
