I would get the lyrics to Rope of Silicon tattooed on my back.

I'm not particularly fond of tatooing something on my body for life. But if I was going to, I'd get a small tattoo of symbol representing my chinese astrology sign, in my case, the dragon in solid black.

I have not gotten any tattoos, even though the idea kind of intrigues me. I'm unsure whether there's anything that I'd want on me for a lifetime. I'm always changing.

I guess that's why I prefer body piercing. Although it's somewhat permanent to the extent that it creates some scar tissue, I know that I can easily remove the jewelry in the future if I so choose, whereas getting a tattoo removed is expensive and can be difficult.

If I ever did get a tattoo, I imagine that it'd be something small, in a discreet place.

My wife keeps changing her mind about whether or not she wants to get a daisy (her favorite flower) on her lower back.

At 18 (That was a long time ago!) I worked for Robinson's May. I went to ring up some sweaters for a elderly man. He reached to hand me his money and as he did a tattoo of numbers became partially visible. It was poorly done and with crappie ink. My mind was thinking what would he have done that for? ( I'll never forget this as long as I live... One of those moments in life that change you forever! ) It was like a flash it hit me ... caught me so off guard it gave my heart a start and I momentarily jumped. I recoiled for just a second. He pulled his sleeve down a bit as if now embarrassed. I shot my eyes up to his, he cast his down... It hit me so hard mine filled with tears. Then I looked down and kept down because I didn't want him to see me react. I finished the transaction. When I went to hand him his money he twisted his hand just a bit so I would look up. He smiled slightly as if to say it's ok.. with a small nod ...a thank you. Neither of us said a word.
That was the single most intimate moment I spent with a human that was a stranger to me. Until that day I had only read and seen footage of the holocaust. Suddenly it was not history.
I didn't mean to thread jack! Just tattoos have a different meaning for me. It just came to mind.
