I don't know about the movie as a whole...but once I caught a bit of "Sophie's Choice" with Meryl Streep. The scene where she was being herded into the concentration camp and had to choose between her son and her daughter.

THAT has to be one of the most heart-wrenching scenes in all of cinema.

sad ...I can't even fathom the poor souls who actually lived through it.

I honestly can't give a true opinion on this movie because i couldn't finish it. I think I made it about twenty minutes into it before I had to turn it off. I just found it too painful to watch.

Grave of the Fireflies
火垂るの墓

I watched it once. NEVER AGAIN sad

This version of the story of Anne Frank is more detailed. Ben Kingsley is great in this movie. Very sad and memoriable.

I wouldn't say it's better than Rouge, the visuals are stunning and merge beautifully with the music but there's less of a story, it focuses on the wife of a famous composer and her psychological trauma in the days following the loss of her husband and daughter.

Juliette Binoche *swoon*
