I'm sticking to my new years reosolution biggrin

I eat LOTS of apples, salads, and lean meats, strength training 3 days a week, cardio 2 days a week, and rest on weekends biggrin

Awesome! Sounds like a great plan.

I cut out sweets last week, because my belly was starting to jiggle, and I didn't like the shape it was taking. I fear I may have finally hit that point in my life where getting a (more or less) flat belly could be a real challenge. sad I've been so lucky for so long!

Oh My God....you people have NO IDEA how much I was on the sweets. Eating 3 to 4 cakes a week, snacks, cookies, candies...Good Grief...then I started to jiggle, and jiggle tis not teh sexy. Last week, I was sitting here and I could FEEL my body burning the fat. I do strength training to build muscle, because the more muscle you have, the higher your metabolism is, and your body burns off fat continuously. Cardio is for that quick sweat lol

Switching from my daily fix of Coca-cola to WATER has definitely helped me.

Although I don't know what "problem areas" you are referring to.

Your hair looks nice, you have nice skin tone, and my line of sight ends about 8" below your chin...so... confuse

What is it about veggies that make you feel so good when you eat them? So fresh, so vibrant in colour..

You can just tell it's good for you. wink

I don't like using dressings on salad because they mask the taste. I usually use either lemon juice or rice/balsamic vinager.

Doing great. Busting my ass at the gym every morning, completely cut out French Vanilla coffee, and a lot of Diet Pepsi. Drinking more water and just trying to cut down on sweets - I've never really had a problem with portion size.

My clothes are fitting better and I even had someone notice so far.

Awesome. thumbs up!

I'm not busting my ass yet but got over my shoulder injury and managed to work out yesterday and this morning, just easing myself back into it, and I think by Monday I'll be back up to speed. I hate it when I don't work out for even 3 or 4 days.

what do you do at the gym?

25 minutes on the stationary bike, then 10 minutes on the elliptical (the one that also works the arms), then I weight train, working upper body and lower body on alternate days and then I do another 25 minutes on the treadmill.

I had never stepped foot on an elliptical until April so I am slowly working up to 25 minutes on that. I'll probably move up to 15 minutes on it next week.

Oh, and sometimes I'll do some stair stepping if I'm not overly tired (which I usually am by the time I am done).

I'm going to a new gym that is much closer to my home. It's a much better gym with state of the art equipment but unfortunately it's busy even in the morning - with really yucky men. confused

I'm up to 20 minutes on the elliptical now. Yesterday I had two dude weirdly come work out beside me...both only lasted a few minutes and both did not wipe down the machines when they left.

Ugh.

Honestly, when I'm at the gym I'm not paying attention to anyone. I'm concentrated on my workout. So I never see this kind of shit or anything else that was mentioned in the other gym thread.

I made some bad food choices lately, so naturally I've gained about 8lbs. Marathon training starts next week. My plan is to break 4 hours in Chicago in October.

I am pissed off at myself; I've had two really bad days at work in a row and instead of getting my frustrations out by doing a run I am sitting on the couch eating rubbish I know I shouldn't be eating cause it makes me feel good. I wouldn't be so p'd at myself if the bad days weren't caused by someone else.

I started the week off really well, did an 8km run on Monday and a 5km run on Tuesday and now I have ruined the good work this week because of someone else's shit.

Need to get back on track tomorrow with another 8km. Wish me a good day guys otherwise I will be on the sofa eating pizza and donuts. sad

You shouldn't be hard on yourself, we've all been there. As long you can stay consistent with your exercise, falling "off track" occasionally shouldn't hurt your progress. I've been a member of daily mile for awhile. It's sort of a facebook for runners. Whenever I get less motivated with my runs, there's always someone there that inspires me.

45.50 on 8k.m 26.35 on 5km, not great but good enough for me...I do need to get up the cigarette but I won't cause I love them.

Want to get to 25.00 on the 5km at some point but I am more interested in putting in the distance than the speed.

I thought I would add what I've been up too. I am currently on a 30 day Bikram yoga challenge. I've had to miss the last week because of a pulled calf and hamstring muscle by doctors orders but I really miss not going to practice. So far since the challenge started I've lost 9lbs. I've been sleeping better and a becoming more flexible. I would have to say that this has been the hardest thing that Ive ever done as far as exercising goes. Bikram is no joke my friends, it is 90 minutes of cardio and body work. Working out in a room that is over a 100 degress and up to 40 % humidity is a challenge just to stay in the room. lolol My 2 favorite poses are standing bow and savasana.

Here a bit of info for ya.

http://www.bikramyoga.com...m_yoga.php

Because I missed pretty much this whole week I have to do make up classes which means I will have to do 2 classes a day starting Sunday. I'm not looking forward to it but I made myself a promise tht I would do 30 classes and damn it I will do them. Even if it means doing 3 hrs of yoga everyday.
