I read this contest. It's about writing a letter today, addressed to tomorrow.

I'll start to write, and will post the summary.

Anyone with me? What would you write to tomorrow?

Tomorrow,

You know it already huh?! You heard this story so many times.
I cling on tight to you. I use you. So I can avoid today. As long as you exist, you'll be my excuse. It's not you. It's not your fault. I'm just not ready for it.

Once I was obsessed with you. I thought that all would be solved if only I could be with you. Everyday I worked as hard as I could. So you would be impressed, and would reward me. I neglected today, just didn’t appreciate it. I had my hopes set on you. Tomorrow would be great. Until it appeared that I had spent my efforts in vain. You were not impressed by my efforts. Disappointed, hurt and wounded I went to bed with today.

I lie in bed for a long time already. Today also. And I still can’t cope with today. So, I use you as an excuse. I tell today that I’ll do it with tomorrow. Today hears me say it every day: "tomorrow is better ". Today knows that I will repeat myself tomorrow. Today knows, I can’t commit, I can’t surrender. He knows I believe in tomorrow, and am afraid of it. So, today will stay in bed with me. In bed today, I will dream of tomorrow making me happy.

I have spent many years promising that when you came, I would be a better person......

Thanks for fucking with me.

Though you have helped me many times, like when I promised to fix that broken cupboard door tomorrow, and you never came, or the times I promised my Wife I would take her to see that Jude Law movie tomorrow and you never came............

So we kinda gotta love hate thing going on here........

Dear Tomorrow,

Start me off gently, let the children find their school uniforms hanging on the clothes horse, as I so helpfully already informed them, instead of rummaging through their shelves in a futile search for their outfits (leaving the room looking like a bomb hit). Let my head not hurt, let my eye health test not be positive for glaucoma, let my client be OK with meeting later in the week. Let my husband turn his phones off.
