I sorta, kinda promised my wife I'd sort myself out and look the best I've ever looked by the time I hit 30 so I've not got long. Right now I'm not cutting my hair or shaving my beard and she's not so keen on my 'look'. It's all part of the plan though. So long as she doesn't leave me I think by the end of May it'll be like 'BLAM!' and she'll be knocked off her feet. falloff

I decided I don't have the willpower to lose weight. I'm not technically overweight according those chart-things, though i'm at the top acceptable weight for my height - that's fine by me.

The issue I have is exercise. I get so bored of it.

Actually, I'm doing better than I thought I was. Pulled out some old smaller sized clothes and they are wearable again.

I imagine watching what I eat will make a huge difference so I've been trying harder with that.

My positive thing for today is that I put on a pair of pants that I bought two weeks ago and my love handles weren't NEARRRR as bad as they were when I bought them.

I didn't get to work out yesterday. But the kids are going to bed in 15 minutes and I plan to do a 45 min workout then. I'm so exhausted, but I'm determined to do it!

Keep it going guys. I'm so proud of all of us.

As for my progress, I couldn't do a full workout with my free weights yesterday as there's something up with my left shoulder. It's fine in most positions but there's certain ways I just can't move my arm, above my shoulder, without a lot of pain. I don't have full range of movement. sad Bummer, because I've been really enjoying my workouts. Just gonna do some calf raises and squats while I watch the basketball this morning, and that's all for today.

It was never anything to do with your looks that I thought you were older. Just your personality.

Anyways, ya take it easy with your shoulder, you don't wanna end up completely outta the game.

Okay guys, I know I said nothing negative and to stay positive......

But heres my issue.....I GAINED 55-60 lbs!!! Not quite sure exactly how much. I know I said throw away the scale but like I said I got weighed at my 6 wk checkup and I had only lost 30 of those lbs. And it's not so much the weight gain but before I got pregnant when I'd work out I would see my muscles were all ripped when I was done. Now I work out so hard (when I can) and all I see is the fat. sad

So I could use some advice on how to actually LOSE FAT, something I didn't have to do before. All I had to do was ton up. Now I need to learn how to lose all the fat.

Suggestions?

Do you do pullups, barbell benchpress, or upright rows? Those exercises can be notorious for shoulder pain.

Do you do pullups, barbell benchpress, or upright rows? Those exercises can be notorious for shoulder pain.

No, kinda (bench press with dumbbells), and yes.

The thing is, I had the problem before my workout yesterday, and I hadn't noticed it the day before, or two days before when I'd last done upper body stuff.
