Do you read other people's blogs? I have never read a blog. I have read bits of blogs that were printed up in magazines. Some people make a living that way. Amazing.

How long now has it been since you have seen "Nigel"? Grandma like him I guess, either that or she really really hated him wink .

What kind of work do you do? you like to right and create prom wear (at least in your youth) so do you have a creative job now?

I use to go to a Kingdom Hall and my daughter hated it, really hated it to the point that any mention of Jesus or God made her shake . She actually headbutted me in the Kingdom Hall!!

Anyway, Sunday she actually asked if we could go to church so we went to the church across the street. It was pretty interesting.

The congregation is less than 50 people and the bulk of them are Swedish Americans over 50, WELL over 50. The eldest member celebrated turning 93 on Sunday. Swedes are not known for being loud or demonstrative. New Englanders are not known for that either. Basically a quite crowd dressed in dull faded clothes. They lost their pastor and they got a temporary one sent to them.

The temporary pastor is an African American man with a amazingly beautiful but loud singing and speaking voice. He tries to pipe down, but the more he gets into his sermon the louder he gets and he begins to jump. The difference in the two cultures is stunningly obvious to both the minister and the congregation and quite humorous too.

Yep, I read other people's blogs all the time. Especially ones about natural hair and social topics concerning women and world politics. Lots of people make their living with those things, and I mean SERIOUS dough! eek It would be nice to do the same thing, but right now I'm between temp jobs and going back to school to finish what I started. With my dad talking about making this house rental thing into a business, I feel like I need to get a little paper to back myself up.

I'd love to write for a living, but my lack of focus and attention have me all over the place starting and stopping lots of poems and stories. I finished one poetry book, but never got around to editing it! My job (er...jobs) isn't really creative, but it does allow me to polish my skills working with deadlines and focusing on one thing at a time. It's strange--I can't do it with my passion, but I can sit down and copy all sorts of notes and things without moving for a good hour or two.

As for ol' Nigel, I stopped talking to him late March/early April. I know grandma loved him because he was tall, had milky brown skin, and that damned curly hair. lol Bless his heart, he was just too much for me to handle! One day I just got very tired of going through the same things with him emotionally. Whatever his mother did to him emotionally, she did it well. sad He just acted out a lot and was in his own little world. He's on his side of the bridge now, and I hope he's working everything out.

The two meetings I went to were all at a special assembly for the weekend so I ended up listening on the phone line with my congregation. So I did get to the meeting after all.

Bugger. I've just found out that the funeral i'm leaving for in less than an hour has a 'bright colours' dress code. I had already put on a dark outfit!

lol I was watching that last night. My brain couldn't process the sweet girls and the...interesting clothes. I just couldn't! They're actually all right people with morals and stories, so once I got over the outlandish outfits, I found myself drawn in! The traditions, the customs...I love it!

I can't get over the custom of grabbing. The guys get violent with the girls for a kiss to show that they're interested in them. That's kind of bordering on abusive but I guess that's their manly display??? When I looked it up online I wasn't sure if this was going to be a regular series or if this was only a 5 part series/documentary. But I think the next show is on Friday, so I'll be surfing the channels to find out the time... 10/9 central or something like that.

Wow, you are way ahead of me. I have been here nearly 2 years and I am barely over 2000, but then again I do not have a computer at home. Speaking of which I am at the library now and i feel like bitching the librarian out. Can she not tell whan someone is being loud and annoying at the library computers? It never fails that when there are two young guys sharing the same computer they get loud and spend more time disagreeing about music and "bitches" then actually using the computer. mad mad mad

O.K. people I am going to get real here and that is a bit scary for me. I am so paranoid that someone I know knows that I write on prince.org and they may find out my plans.

The fact is I have absolutely no money saved and I have a young daughter and a car that is in need of service. I do not know what the car needs at all, except for needing 3 tires.

I am living in a city that I absolutely hate and I plan on moving South. I do not have a place to stay when I get there but I can not stay in this broken down town any longer. i am frightened. I should be trying to find roomate situations and apartments while I am on this computer. I am scared because I think my sister might try and take my daughter away from me!

She is very attached to my daughter and treats her like she is hers. Meanwhile my sister's roomater can't stand my daughter any more then she can me.

Oh boy. An old friend of mine who I thought was blowing me off just got back in touch with me. He lives in Florida and I wonder If I can stay with him for a week or so??? So weird to be asking this!!!! So scared but my life will be ruined if I do not take this leap of faith and be like Will Smith in "the pursuit of happiness" !!!!

This is the last week of school, Thursday is my daughter's very last day. I think I am going to send her to summer school because she needs it. It feels like such a mean thing to do but she struggles so much with school work and made some decent strides this year. Every single time she takes even a week off I see that she has difficulty getting back into the groove of school.

O.K. where the hell is everybody???? Maybe you're all working.

I am very serious about getting the hell out of the city that I live in and with no money, head South. as of this minute I have no clue where I will stay. I want to go bacik to New Orleans. I hope I find something quickly.

The apartment that I live in now is nothing to hold desperately onto that is for sure. If I were alone I would have done this a while ago but I will be taking my daughteer on this adventure. Part of me feels nuts and the other part keeps thinking of "Chocolat" and "The Pursuit of Happiness". It would be neat to meet some orger along the way.
