Disney's "Prom" movie

Anyone seen the trailers for Disney's version of prom yet?

I saw this and almost got ill. ill feeling ill barf shake Like the world really needs a watered down movie about a high school prom that's safe for 8 year olds. When I went to prom, I was looking to get some action afterward boff while some of my classmates were taking their pregnant girlfriends to prom.

Whatever happened to those good old-fashioned prom movies where kids were trying their hardest to get laid that night? The ones where a couple of guys make a bet that they could turn the ugliest, most awkward girl in school into a hottie? Or the one where a streetsmart yet popular girl in school goes to prom to the guy she's in love with but is despised by his rich buddies while she blows off her best friend who's secretly in love with her? Or the one with the class valedictorian who goes to prom with his porn star neighbor and her porno friends, and his buddies secretly film an instructional teen sex education video at the prom? Or the one with the serial killer who escapes from prison and stalks the teenage girl who put him behind bars? Or the one with the abused, awkward girl with supernatural powers who is elected prom queen only for a bunch of bullies to pull an evil prank on her, at which point she offs everyone in attendance? stab Those are the prom movies I remember.

It's a movie for tweens...why would you be upset about that? When you were that age you were not watching the old movies you described.

Right, because back then parent's took their young children to see movies like Porky's all the time. rolleyes

It's not like there are countless other movies out for testosterone filled ballsacks to go see, is there?

Such a shame it's demographic that is ignored. Poor men and their lack of movies for them....

I don't see the harm in the movie either - no one is forcing anybody who doesn't like the premise, to watch it.

But - I was watching Freddy Krueger movies and The Terminator when I still had my baby teeth and couldn't write in cursive yet lol .

"I don't think you'd do well in captivity." - random person's comment to me the other day

For every movie like this, there is an American Pie themed movie. This isn't the only prom movie that has been released in the past ten years lol

I was too. boxed

I started seeing movies at the theater when I was 6 years old. My first one was Snow White.

The second movie I ever saw in a movie theater (also at 6) was Halloween. lol

And I saw Porky's at the Drive-in at whatever age I was when it came out. doh!

Totally...Freddy Krueger movies that is.

I was scared shitless in that scene where the bed consumes that kid...and the whole horrifying nightmare scenes..had me not wanting to go to sleep for weeks....but I love horror movies..always have. It was my babysitter's fault.
