Wrestlemania 27

Hey wrestling fans, is anyone planning on watching Wrestlemania this Sunday?? On paper, it doesn't look that great, but with Steve Austin reffing the Michael Cole vs. Jerry Laqwler match, and the Rock guest hosting for the whole show and with his inevitable run-in on the Miz-Cena match, it might be half entertaining! But $55 worth? Not so much.

What are your card predictions, and is anyone going to be watching this online (on WWE's site or otherwise)?

Wrestlemania 27 card:

1. Edge vs. Alberto Del Rio in a Singles match for the World Heavyweight Championship.

2. The Miz vs. John Cena in a Singles match for the WWE Championship.

3. Triple H vs. The Undertaker in a No Holds Barred match.

4. Jerry Lawler vs. Michael Cole (with Jack Swagger) in a Singles match with special guest referee Stone Cold Steve Austin.

5. Randy Orton vs. CM Punk in a Singles match.

6. Rey Mysterio vs. Cody Rhodes in a Singles match.

7. Trish Stratus, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and John Morrison vs. Dolph Ziggler and LayCool (Layla and Michelle McCool) in a 6-person mixed tag team match.

8. Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan in a Singles match for the United States Championship.

9. Kane, Big Show, Santino Marella, and Vladimir Kozlov vs. The Corre (Wade Barrett, Ezekiel Jackson, Justin Gabriel, and Heath Slater) in a 8-man Tag Team match.

You haven't seen the huge wrestling thread here? There's a lot of wrestling fans here lol

Personally, I'm only interested in about 3 matches:

Orton vs CM Punk

The Miz vs Cena (just for the possibility that Rock comes in and costs Cena the belt)

Triple H vs Undertaker

the rest is meh imo. They could've done a lot better with the card

card predictions

1.Edge vs. Alberto Del Rio: Del Rio might win. He is new but they seem to want to push him.

2.The Miz vs. John Cena: John will lose. The Rock will a referee?

4.Jerry Lawler vs. Michael Cole(Jack swagger): Lawler wins.

5.Randy Orton vs. CM Punk : Punk should win. I think they devloped this match good.

6.Rey Mysterio vs. Cody Rhodes Cody should win.

3.Triple H vs. The Undertaker : Triple H will lose. HBK will cost him the match?

7. Trish Stratus, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and John Morrison vs. Dolph Ziggler and LayCool (Layla and Michelle McCool): Team Stratus will win. I guess this the Diva's match.

8. Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan: Bryan should win but he is new.

9. Kane, Big Show, Santino Marella, and Vladimir Kozlov vs. The Corre (Wade Barrett, Ezekiel Jackson, Justin Gabriel, and Heath Slater):Not sure. They are not doing a great with the tag team division.

I will see what happens on Monday. $55 is too much money. People cable bill is around that. I wish I could order it but....

Sadly, I still recognize about half of those wrestlers....my son was into it when he was younger.

I'm looking forward to the first Wrestlemania where I don't know a single person in the lineup. woot!

Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

On paper, the worst WM card in years.

I havent watched in ages but I did go to youtube to see all the Rock/Cena interaction. The Fruity Pebbles shit is hilarious.

But I love the way HHH came out and did his promo a few weeks ago...where he basically said there's no one in the locker room worth fighting other than the Undertaker.

He has never been more right.

Gotta feeling WM is heading back to 20,000 seat arenas next year...unless something drastic happens.

Can't wait to see their pitiful buyrate.

Did you, or anyone, else see the clips of the press conference a day or two ago where the crowd in NYC went ALL in on Cena?? It was hilarious!! They didn't even give the guy a chance to speak! If this doesn't make Vince turn Cena heel, I don't know what will!

That is what everyone wants because his fanbase are kids. The older fans despise him lol and it's pretty warranted because although his appreciation and fondness for his fanbase, he's also a complete tool. He's like Hogan-lite, which is never good

His promo on Monday was terrible, I gave him the "WTF" look when he went down the list on why he knows The Rock doesn't like him, but didn't mention how this whole thing started lol The Rock retiring to work on movies and Cena who was promoting his movie (which flopped) doing interviews calling Rock a sellout and insincere about the fans

Cena should go heel because the quick turn so many fans made the night The Rock returned showed his current persona needs another upgrade

Why do you say he's a "complete tool"? I'm not disagreeing with you, mind you, but I haven't heard about him doing anything big-headed or "heelish" backstage. Then again, I haven't been followng things too closley lately!

My hope is that the Miz stomps a mud hole in Cena's ass tomorrow, and if he doesn't, The Rock will come down and do it for him and cause Cena to lose anyway!

Do you know of any site(s) online where one could take a, *cough*, gander at this PPV? wink

Probably right because he was one of the few wrestlers that owned The Rock in the

early 2000's.

The whole shit-grinning, the goody too shoes gimmick. He's a mix of Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, with a mix of Rockers era Shawn Michaels lol

I'd check Justin.tv, there's a couple of streams there lol

Watching the Legends roundtables on WWE Classics On Demand, all the guys talking (usually Jim Ross, Michael Hayes, Mean Gene and Pat Patterson), they seem to all think that the guys in the business these days don't appreciate the benefits they have these days and feel they're supposed to be on top all the time, and I see where they're coming from

Look at both WWE and TNA, you have guys who constantly fuck up their careers. Jeff Hardy is CONSTANTLY in trouble. He's on trial for drugs, allegedly burned his house down and has shown up at PPVs under the influence, yet TNA put the world title on him TWICE. TNA's last PPV, dude was HIGH AS A KITE and they've sent him home indefinitely

Yeah, I was pretty surprised that they gave the Real Worlder the belt, but he has done a tremendous job with his promos and doesn't stink up the joint in the ring. I felt it was a little too soonto give him the belt, but since he's got it, let him run with it. Just don't give it back to Cena!!

I LOVE The Rock, but I too am getting tired of his same ol', same ol' chant-along phrases that haven't changed in about a decade. He needs to start coming up with something new if he's going to make "limited appearances", sorta like Bret Hart did last year. I was watching some of his old promos when he was feuding with Austin for the last time in 2003, and they were, by FAR, the best promos of his career. The whole "Rock concerts" thing was hilarious!!

"It's the Hamburglar...Arrest him!! He's guilt of sticking a chicken mcnugget up his ass!" lol Ya gotta love the Rock!

Yeah I kinda saw what Alberto can do. But personality wise he's as much a turn off as Cena or Orton. Hmm, sounds like I'm gonna waste another $20 (my cousin always pays the other half lol) on crap again. lol But that is if he remembers. wink

I am proud to say that at a WWE house show a few years ago I single handedly started a "MARKY MARK" chant directed at him. He was visibly pissed.

Fighting JBL, the bastard Cena came to the ring in a Padres jersey (cheap heat from the San Diego fans). Me, wearing my Fernando Valenzuela Dodger jersey, immediately lost my cool. Started out with "Viva Los Dodgers, Bitch!" Didnt go over well with the crowd, but my "MARKY MARK" chant got laughs and picked up steam. It was awesome.

A decent wrestler but his gimmick is God awful.
