Hope you guys saw this:

Alberto Del Rio vs Edge for the World Heaveywieght Championship is the FIRST match on the card?? Are you kidding me?

Give that title some respect and don't make it the curtain-jerker. That could've gone to the Snooki match, The Corre match, or even Lawler vs Cole. But not the match for THE championship.

Okay as it turned out, my cousin's dad is in the hospital so no chance of him picking me up. sad Hope his dad pulls out of it and is alright. pray

But anyways, why is a championship match the first match? Silly shit. confused

Sorry to hear that, dude!! I hope he's all right as well!

So far, it's in to the CM Punk vs Randy Orton match, and I'm not impressed so far. The UT vs HHH and Miz vs Cena matches better be tha shit, or this will be a highly disappointing Wrestlemania!

The Orton/Punk match and HHH/Taker match were highlights

Taker was really hurt afterwards, everyone was concerned to the point they had to keep checking if he was breathing or not neutral

I could've sworn that was just selling 101 on Taker's part. Just trying to put over HHH - even though he didn't get the victory, that he still took Taker to the absolute limit, more than any of his other opponents (and their first WM battle).

To say this night was disappointing would be an understatement! It just lacked the fire and energy that everyone was expecting. Even when The Rock came out and whooped on Miz after the match, the people just seemed to be "ho hum" about it.

WTF was up with the choir for Cena's entrance? Was that really DMX? Lol!! And, why did they scrap the Bryan-Sheamus match? Not that I'm complaining, but I know if I were either one of them, especially Bryan, I'd be pretty upset! They could've gotten rid of the Cole-Lawler match altogether to make room for it, which was a real wrestling match. Well, as real as any match with Sheamus in it can get. razz

The sequencing of the matches were horrible, some matches were built up properly, some matches shouldn't have happened....

Here's how I would've done it

Kane, Big Show, Kofi, and Santino vs. The Corre
Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan
Rey Mystero vs. Cody Rhodes
Jerry Lawler vs. Michael Cole
Team Snooki vs. Team Laycool
CM Punk
Edge vs. Alberto Del Rio
Undertaker vs. Triple H
The Miz vs. John Cena

I would've had Morrison and Ziggler in their own match, I would've had the Tag team belts up for grabs, I would've had a Diva's championship match, and I would've at least had a ladder match

I didn't think it was too bad. Could always have been better (Punk should have won) but was entertaining overall.

I really don't know how to percieve the whole Taker being really messed up....It could just be him selling it all, but some of those bumps he took in the fight and knowing how Taker wasn't 100% going into this makes me think it could be legit.

But after watching it again, there clearly was some form of selling to it, otherwise the ref would have done the X signal to the guys out the back instead of getting some clueless person from the ringside to help out....even still tho, was very creepy to watch.

He's been pretty banged up for the last couple of years. He takes MONTHS off after WM and then comes back for a little while, leaves again, comes back shortly before the next wrestlemania....

I've been watchin' the WWE for the last 10 or 15yrs and this past Wrestlemania was one of the worst PPVs that have been out in a loooonnnnggg time. Some matches were 'cool' but, not great. I expected more out of Taker vs HHH but, that was the best match of the show, the 2nd best match was Orton vs Punk.

Peace ... & Stay Funky ...

Rock vs Cena for Wrestlemania 28 in 2012??!

They announced a match for just under a year away! Are they really going to build for a match 12 months away? Who's going to care by then? What, is the Rock going to come back once a month and promo us to death about not liking Cena and then using old, tired catch phrases?!

Don't get me wrong. I love the Rock all over Cena, but who's going to care about this a year from now when they were building a confrontation with these two THIS year? Horrible booking by the WWE, but I've come to expect that from them.

That match sounds VERY interesting, but not enough to make me want to pay to see it.

That's pretty much how they used to do lol that way, the intensity and anticipation will grow part by part, which I think is genius, although actually announcing it was a bit dumb.

Ric Flair's WWE retirement match was built for about 6 months if I recall and the first Kane-Taker match at Wrestlemania 14 was built for over 5 months, starting in September-October 1997 and WM14 was in April '98 if I remember correctly

It's how they pace and build is what's gonna make this match. Those 2 things are essential lol

It's not that it's not working, it's just that WWE simply doesn't do it anymore. They RARELY build matches properly and haven't on a regular basis since the Attitude era. The 2 matches that I think it was done in this period was the Orton/HHH match when Randy was attacking the McMahon family and of course, HBK/Taker I and II at Wrestlemania

plus, I don't really think Miz has the potential to REALLY deliver in a main event yet

Well, the "building" thing I can understand, but to actually announce it is something separate. So, we pretty much know that he will NOT be the champ by the time WM28 comes. So, if he ever regains it by the end of this year, we'll know he's going to be dropping it so he can REALLY start his program with The Rock. Not cool.

And speaking of The Rock, just how much will he be around to help with this slow build? I'm assuming his first (and possibly only) return match will be at WM, so what, is he gonna pop up on Raw every other week from his "living room" via satellite and cut a promo on Cena, just to remind people of the match?

I just think they gave it away too early. The day AFTER WM27??? GTFOHWTBS!!! lol

Anyway, did anyone see Tough Enough after Raw this past Monday?

HeLL ... I live in South Florida so I am looking forward to that match up but, the excitement can either wear off or build from now forward. There was a great 'crowd pop' when it was mentioned but, I'd thought they'd have a match sooner, then later.

I don't know about a "great pop", but I definitely know I heard some boos when it was announced. Of course, that was probably because the crowd wanted some physical confrontation right then and there, but I also think that for something everybody and their momma would want to see, nobody felt like waiting for a year from now to see it.

I'm really curious to see what Rock's WWE schedule is going to be like for the next 6-10 months and how they're going to make sure to keep viewers interested in something 12 months away.
