Some of the WORST playoff basketball I've EVER seen.

1. Thibs = Lovie Smith = ZERO game plan adjustments

2. Rose played way 2 minutes and nothing left 4 the finish

3. Boozer, Bogans and Noah = Bulls playing 2 on 5 on offense.

4. If Miami made it 2 the Finals with that weak roster around the big 3.......they will be there 4 years 2 come with a couple of roster adjustments, which means the Bulls blew it big time. 4 games in a row with almost the EXACT same out come. PITIFUL.

5. It is really that much pressure on a freethrow? Really.....

6. Bogans, Boozer, Korver, and few others hopefully will be playing 4 another team next year.

Dammit, chicago. WTF happened?

I'm not sure who I want to win the Finals now. But I know of a lot of LJ haters that are cheering for the Mavs. It should be a great series regardless.

Now if the NFL can get it together SOON... disbelief but that's a different thread I suppose.

Simple. Miami has two great players(who can create their own shot) and an all-star. Chicago only has one who has to do everything.

Not so simple since Chi with the same formula had the best regular season record and beat Miami 3 times during that time. It's like The Bulls assumed Miami was gonna choke or something since they'd beaten them 3 times during the regular season. disbelief Never underestimate your opponent. Never!

Oh well, they learned their lesson hopefully. lol I just hope the Mavs-HEat matchups are competitive as hell! I wouldn't mind if it goes to 7 games!

My thoughts exactly. There were so many errors with Chicago...and the mistakes were the same all four of the following games following their first win.

No. Chicago didn't assume anything. Did you see Game 1? They simply got outplayed when it mattered, in the 4th quarter in the last two games especially. The Miami that we've seen in the playoffs is not the same team from the regular season. Miami elevated their game, the bulls didn't.

I'm a Bulls fan and last night I was so pissed, but I've calmed down since then. I love D Rose and I'm sure that boy will work on his weaknesses in the offseason, as he always does. Specifically he needs work on his outside shot. If Carlos Boozer were smart he wouldn't show his face in around Chicago anytime soon. That flagrant against Lebron was beyond stupid. And $80 million for what? That dude was a total non-factor. Sitting on the bench in the 4th quarter? rolleyes Speaking of Lebron, get him to Hollywood because that was great acting with that flop.

Heat in 6 with the finals.

Having time to reflect on last night, and the Bulls season in general, this Bulls team has a lot of striking similarities with this season's Chicago Bears.

Derrick Rose = Brian Urlacher. Derrick Rose is the heart and soul of the Chicago Bulls and its best player, much as Brian Urlacher is the heart and soul of the Bears. Both tried to carry their team to a championship but were left lacking in help, even though both players refuse to make any excuses for their failure to reach the championship game.

Carlos Boozer = Jay Cutler. Both players were acquired during the offseason as key players and linchpins to bolster their respective teams. While both players showed flashes of brilliance during the regular season, rumors persisted around each of them of being too soft. In the case of Jay Cutler, this culminated in his knee injury during the NFC Championship game where he appeared to be healthy enough to go back into the game. It turns out he was truly hurt, but that didn't stop fans (including myself) to chastise him for not showing any desire to help his team win. In Carlos Boozer's case, he had a toe injury which hampered his game a bit, but fans mostly groaned at what appeared to be his inabaility to drive to the hoop strongly inside the paint.

Luol Deng = Matt Forte, Lance Briggs, Charles Tillman. Deng played the role of the unherladed star who contributed key minutes to the Bulls playoff run and often was the only other option to get points outside of Derrick Rose. He was similar to Matt Forte and veterans like Lance Briggs and Charles Tillman who made big plays while being overshadowed by their other stars.

Joakim Noah = Gregg Olson, Devin Hester, Johnny Knox, Earl Bennett. Noah was suppsoed to bring energy and emotion to the team while getting huge rebounds in the paint. And while he played some key minutes during the series, he is also very young and prone to let his emotions and relative inexperience get the better of him. Likewise, the Bears receiving core is also young, and its best receiver is actually playing out of position.

Keith Bogans, Taj Gibson, C.J. Watson, Omer Asik, Kyle Korver = the Bears offensive line and secondary outside of Charles Tillman. Likewise, the Bulls bench was a ragtag collection of players who were supposed to spell relief for their star Derrick Rose. and while they played well in stretches, they also couldn't create their own shots and sometimes let a lead evaporate, causing Derrick Rose to take the game into his own hands. This was similar to the Bears offensive line, who had probalems all season trying to protect Jay Cutler, causing him to get sacked numerous times and focing him to make plays he should have made.

Tom Thibodeau = Lovie Smith. Tom Thibodeau landed the head coaching job with the Bulls after being an assistant with the world champion Boston Celtics. Likewise, Lovie Smith earned his head coaching job with the Bears after being a defensive coordinator with the Super Bowl Champion St. Louis Rams. Both coaches had some early success turning their teams around from futility and mediocrity, which each landed them Coach of the Year honors. But in the key games during the conference championships, they were outcoached by superior but not invincible opponents. Their opponents were able to adjust to their schemes and expose their weaknesses, and they had no answer to counter.

This season, both the Bears and Bulls acheived success no one expected them to do, and while they should be commended for their fine seasons, their shortcomings were ultimately exposed in the key playoff runs.

eek Dude, I had this conversation with my stepdad a few days ago. I said that there are parallels with the Bulls and bears of this year. Pip made insane comments today but he was right about the Bulls season. They overachieved.
