A census taker once tried to test me. I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti... "I've just had an apostrophe!" "I think you mean an epiphany..."

We all come from the same December
and in the end that's where we'll go. strike me down with all of your hatred, and your journey to the darkside will be complete.

They were saying that they were sorry for what happened in the past, but it was the past and they had nothing to do with it and that they did not appreciate being blamed for it. Right, right, right... it is a good song, too. NoFx said it perfectly as well with these lyrics: Oh, say what you're gonna say So go ahead and label me an asshole cause I can Accept responsibility for what I've done, but not for who I am. Don't call me white.

That's how I feel a lot of the time when racial discussions come up. For some reason I'm made to feel guilty by the things that are said and the looks that are given. Guilty for what? For the color of my skin and the sins of the past? We all have our story to tell, and I won't claim another's as my own.
