Mother's Day ........ a day to honour your mother, that's what it is supposed to be ......... But for those who have lost their mom ....... it does hurt ......

Lord knows I miss my mother dearly. Sometimes I just think of her, and the tears flow. Sometimes they're tears of sadness, sometimes they're tears of joy. She went through a lot to get me here and I'm glad she was willing to put in the work. Sadly I have no memories of her because she died when I was pretty young. However, I have a tape of her voice and tons of pictures. It's amazing how much I sound just like her, groans of irritation and all... (we're both labeled by fam as emotional)

I truly feel like her spirit is in me. Family members find so much of her actions in things I do. So much for being original. In any case, Mrs. Margaret Alma Williams is my mother--a beautiful soul who shed light on so many lives.

I lost my mother on August 28, 2007. Happy Mother's Day mama, wherever you are.

Yesterday was the second Mother's Day without my dear mom (it's been 18 months that she's been gone). Each day is still strange without her and I have been forever changed by her absence. I've really had to learn how to live differently. Miss you mom

Sorry to hear that. It's been eight years for me. Like you said, life isn't the same. I lost Mom a week after Mother's Day. I used to look forward to this time of year - not anymore. It brings up too many painful memories.
