Charlie Sheen

This morning, Howard Stern's producer ("Baba Booey") got ahold of Sheen's cell number.

Howard said to text him, "Come win on our show."

I hope Howard gets him. Charlie's way out of control and off his meds, so obviously he's just doing whatever he wants. It would be a great interview.

Off his meds or on the maximum dosage of cocaine a human being can stand without having a heart attack?

Jay Leno was ripping at him tonight...quite funny. Charlie has lost his damn mind...he seriously thinks he is untouchable. He is in for a rude awakening

When I first saw CS obviously not well in an interview, I was upset that the "sober" ones did not have the sense to pull the plug on the interviews and send him on his way. I felt that they were being complicit in "bumfight" type entertainment. That they would do anything for a buck and were no better than Sheen in a way.

Stern is an ass, this is his shtick, he has no problem setting up bumfights to get his and his viewers jollies.

But now I see this as the worlds greatest public service anouncement against drug abuse anyone can ever make.

And....

"I am on a drug. It's called 'Charlie Sheen" has got to be one one best catch phrases in the longest time too.

I couldn't agree more. I've heard bit and pieces about Mr. Sheen's drama for a couple of weeks now. Yesterday, I saw an excerpt of an interview he gave with one of the big 3 . . . I can't remember which one. disbelief Now it appears more than one network is going to have a serial about Mr. Sheen's trials and tribulations. The media hasn't broken any laws but ethically, they've stepped into the cesspool without hip-boots. The hell with the job, this man has so much more to lose.

Can we say "Network".

I think putting it out there can be educational now. But emotionally I agree with you.

Now I think that if the consequences of drug abuse are put out there, warts and all for all to see, maybe it will deter some from going down that road, or make some see what is becoming of them and stop. For people to see that when you are down, that people will kick you, take advantage of you, and rub your face in it just for giggles.

Sad to see, but that is the reality. And if you live in the spotlight, don't expect the lights to dim when you are putting on the show of your life.

Well, obviously, I would respectfully disagree.

I would say that Howard's "shtick" is shining a light on all the pretense and craziness in this world, with humor.

He doesn't "(set) up bumfights" (to extend your metaphor); he occasionally gives airtime to bums who are fighting. Big difference. At heart, they're cautionary tales. Moreover, as any regular listener knows, this is just one aspect of what he does.

There is a lot of heart and soul in his show and, frankly, the world would be a better place if more people were as honest about their feelings as Stern is on-air. That is the true irony.

Uh, he's not a cocaine addict, Timmy - he's a cocaine warrior. rolleyes And it's not his fault that we mere mortals aren't in possession of the tiger blood necessary to win the love of The Goddesses (I speak here, of course, of Natty & Rachel).

That is one aspect of his show ace, but since most of the conversation stems from egotism, I would also agree with V10letblues. Could Stern's show survive without stirthepot-probably not.

How are you defining "egotism"? And agree with him (her?) in what regard?

Could Stern's show survive without stirthepot-probably not.
