Though rarely seen together, Stedman Graham and Oprah Winfrey have been a couple for years and for the most part, he has been the only man the media mogul has been publically linked to. Well, that was until a Haitian filmmaker named Reginald Chevalier came forward not only to claim he that did in fact date the Queen of All Media, as revealed in Kitty Kelly’s tell-all book, but to allege that her current partner and his former co-worker was the reason for their split.

Chevalier told RadarOnline.com he met Oprah during an episode of her television show. According to him, they dated for four months and he even moved into her Chicago apartment. Things were going well, but all the while he knew Stedman was courting her.

Interestingly enough, Reginald and Stedman were friendly before they had Oprah in common. The two men were featured in magazine ad for a car company.

Oprah’s alleged ex doesn’t speak ill of her or Stedman in his interview with Radar, but does recall that Oprah was hesitant to accept Stedman’s advances at first.

"I remember Stedman used to call, and I would answer the phone,” he remembered. “And she would tell me, 'I don't want to talk to him ... I'm not here'.”

As Reginald remembers it, the end of his romance with Oprah came during one of her New Years Eve bashes. According to Chevalier, Stedman showed up with another women who made it her mission to hang around Chevalier for most of the evening. Oprah must have taken the bait because he said she ended up locking him out of her home and sent him packing with a note that said: "It's not going to work out between us."

"I think he tried everything he had to get Oprah," Reginald recalled. "I think Oprah did get upset because every time (she came over to talk to me) the other girl would appear."

When Reginald Chevalier and Oprah Winfrey reportedly crossed paths a year after parting ways, she didn’t acknowledge him.

"She acted like I was a stranger," he told Radar.
