Wireless modem question: does your modem always reset itself unexpectedly?

I'm asking this because a month ago my wireless broadband cable modem (I got Time Warner) decided to reset EVERYTHING in my house, the TV was out, phones out, online was out. And it stayed like that for about three hours.

I thought it was over, but nah, it reset itself again LAST NIGHT but instead of everything, it was just the phones and the internet connection. Took another three hours to get it back. I was wondering if any of y'all ever had that happen to you when people just decide to work on something and reset it until they're done with it?

This has been going on for a couple of times. It's been a while since it did that so I don't think it's alarming but I just wanna know if any of y'all ever experienced that?

I have Time Warner too, and yes, the modem occasionally does shit the bed for a brief time. But it usually fixes itself or I just reset it. It doesn't happen that often. If yours is doing it more than maybe once a month for more than a very brief period (an hour or so), I would call them. Many times they are doing maintenance on the lines nearby.

That's what I was thinking. Because they didn't do it at all last year. lol But they could've been doing maintenance elsewhere because if someone's trying to fix a line that way, it can fuck up people from our way. lol I just hope it don't happen again. I wanted to call the first time they did that but it returned and no other problems occurred.
