It's like you say, there is a misconception about bisexualilty, to the point where you do not want to label yourself that way. I think some imagine bisexual to really mean "open to anyone" or "twice as sexual" where you have said you were monagamous no matter who you were with--just like me, a straight guy.

Maybe the question was not framed clearly, but all he's asking is "are people born bisexual?" And the context is this situation where someone seems very fickle about her sexuality, but the real story is she probably has serious problems

We still don't know if she's greedy or not. Greed and promiscuity don't necessarily go hand in hand.

But why is promiscuity and greed in the same category? There is a different mindset behind both. For instance, some promiscuous behavior is born of some psychological trauma like people who are molested as children...sometimes they act out and engage in promiscuous behavior. Yeah, I've seen the CL stuff. It's pretty... um... wow. And I do know people who currently use CL for hookups. (And I'd bet you do, too, and may not know.)

But I don't think you can consider this sort of stuff as quintessential of any particular sexual orientation. You'll notice CL has pretty thriving personals sections for just about any sexual proclivity you can think of: m4m, m4w, m4mm, m4mw, mm4mw, w4m, w4w, w4ww, w4wm, ww4ww, ww4wm, ad infinitum! Lord only knows what all those encounters say about what those people really yearn for and desire at their very core, much less whether they were born with this stuff or developed it over time. And, of course, I'd like to think a good many people of all sexual orientations would find what goes on in places like CL completely not an option.

That bisexuals are sexually greedy (and here I do equate greed and promiscuity) to any greater proportion than the population of all sexually active adults is certainly not attested to on CL, and it's a myth and misconception (neither of which I'm saying you necessarily buy into) I've seen validated nowhere else really. Based only on folk I've personally encountered, I'd say pretty much all types have a healthy cache of hoes.

Exactly. I think people box themselves too much unless their attraction is mainly based on one thing. Not everyone's gonna be gay, straight, bisexual, pansexual, etc. And that's a beautiful thing regardless if it's "greedy" or not.
