I got a card and a little sumthin' sumthin'. Got her a dozen roses, a Cuisinart coffee maker (okay, that was for both of us), and a red "Love" coffee mug.

i got card from my dad today with $10 bux in it. gonna buy chocolate...or maybe some booze. our liquor cabinet is quite empty right now....

A selection of dark chocolate bars. It was quite unexptected, actually.

We made dinner together, shared a bottle of wine, and watched the Cheaters marathon on G4. I really don't get into Valentine's. I don't do flowers. He loves it.

But my momma sends me stuff! I guess growing up Valentine's was really for your kids and friends. So I buy candy and drinks for my friends.

Not a damn thang! However, I did get a call from an ex who said he called me at work to wish me a happy day but was told I was "unavailable." I didn't go to work because I was still at home recuperating from my foot surgery. I got his call the next day, my last day home before returning to work today. Well, that was sweet of him.

That's how I felt about it in my teens, but now I actually don't see why there should be a special day to celebrate love. Call me naive, but I believe it should be celebrated every day I recently read something about 'real men boycotting Valentine's Day', well... I don't blame them.
