My mom did this was for me when I was little right before I went to bed. I'd be falling asleep in no time.

Me neither. I guess I just don't know how to relax. Head scratching I didn't need. I was a very tender-headed child. My hair was very straight, so when I awoke in the morning, it would be a tangled mess and I would have a fit when my mom tried to comb it. She'd finally get sick of my squirming and crying, she'd just let me go running around looking like a ragamuffin orphan.

Geez, you guys must not be getting perms. If you fry your hair after scratching your scalp, it'd feel like your head was set aflame! Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

The Denman brush is my scalp's friend. As a child, my mom used to scatch my scalp with a comb, but it wasn't frequent event. Even though I get a relaxer, I give my hairstylist a look or a friendly reminder if she doesn't put some nails or a brush into my scalp. That's the only way it really calms down.

My mum would scratch my scalp for hours...I would sit in front of her watching tv....
I want to move to Bangkok and get a good scalp scratch!!!!
Or just ask my mum and give her my 'please mum' look and make a joke about prioritizing motherly tasks: scratching your daughter's scalp. My mother has never been very good at the whole "sacrifice yourself for your children" however, dealing with my scalp is one of her best qualities!

I'm assuming most of you who've had scalp massages have had them by hand. But has anyone ever had their scalp massaged with one of these?
It looks ridiculous, but some chick at a mall massaged my scalp with one of these, and I thought I was going to lose my mind it felt so good! Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

YES.....we had it done to us in Miami. It felt so good I bought one immediately...yeah, it felt better at the mall. We don't even use it anymore. It sent tingles down my entire body though. Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

When I was younger My Mom used to scratch my scalp while we watched TV,and I absolutely love it when I get a scalp massage at the salon.
I bought one of those wire massagers hoping for the same effect. ^^
This looks interesting....

I'm 'bout to flash back to my childhood over here. That's what my grandma did before doing my hair with Isoplus hair grease. It was the green one that made your scalp all tingly and stuff. And during week days, she'd use the one in the blue container that smelled DIVINE! My dad would grease my scalp too with this stuff called African Pride. (He's more into those wooden and sweet scented hair products)
I miss those paraben-filled days. I guess I could get my dad to rub some of my shealoe on my freshly washed hair. But um...I'm a bit older now. He might say no.
