Chile, please. The FACT that they sell the most jerseys of any team, in any sport despite not winning or having any real stars tells me so. Local fans are not sustaining those numbers. Besides, I'm not that type of Cowboys fan, I'm one of their harshest critics, trust. But, as much as folks hate to acknowledge it, despite losing they're STILL the second most valuable (profitable) sports franchise in the WORLD second only to Manchester United. In comparison, the Lakers are 49th on that list.
And here, I looked it up for ya.

No. 2 Dallas Cowboys
NFL Value: $1.65 billion
The NFL's most recognizable franchise separated from the league to run its own merchandising business. This year's new stadium adds millions to cash flow through personal seat licenses and other amenities.

I'd assume the Cowboy fandom startss in states that have no pro football teams. That is a lot of states. So yeah I can see that. But either way...
Steelers have been making a climb for only a few years now, so if they keep it up, only time can tell. I always thought it was funny to call the Cowboys America's team. When the concept of a cowboy came from Mexico. If anything the Redskins should be the American team. Or even the Patriots...if you want to be technical about "America's Team"
KittyKat I'ma let you make it cuz I know it's been hard on you lately, what with yo shaky ass Tarheels. At least they're FINALLY ranked nationally again at 23 while my 'horns are what? #3 that's what.
I mean .
But who knows, maybe your Tarheels will get it together in time to play in the 2014 Final Four . . . which will be hosted at Dallas Cowboys stadium. [Edited 2/1/11 18:30pm] |

Either way, I'm so not emotionally invested in either team, so I don't know whyyyy you had to go there with the colleges. I ain't seem them Horns in ANY NCAA Championship these last ten years....Tar Heels TWICE. And because I'm such a fan and love MY school, if they suck I still love them, if they don't suck hell yeah! In fact, they're serving it to Boston College right now.
And if you want to compare wangs in the money grossing of a college basketball team. UNC is ALWAYS within the top 3.
Now let's let the babies with the Steelers towels have their shine! Thread jacker! |

Excuse me but YOU are THE original threadjacker so don't play. And despite not winning championships UT is always in the top 10 highest revenue generating basketball programs and the #1 valuable football program. So, best believe UT ain't no rooty-poots EITHA.
But back to the babies, Awwww they so cute. |

Those merchandising sales change all the time. I actually saw one earlier this season where
the Steelers were leading the league in sales. Yes these figures can flip flop so saying one is
on top of the other is irrelevant because they change like the weather. Don't laugh at my funk

Determining a team's value, which is what I'm talking about, is not only based on merchendising tho. |

Okay. The poll you illustrated was talking about the net worth of the franchise.
Yes the Cowboys and the Yankees are pretty much top dog there.
Jersey sales fluctuate. Look and see who is tops among women in jersey sales.

His hair is pretty luxurious! I always wonder if the guys with long hair get chunks yanked out during play. |
