It appears that objects in the light would represent good. While objects in the dark would represent evil.

A few of these combined would be a good start. I would have guessed the opposite concerning plant growth.

Also, the medium which you are using would determine which visuals would work better. Illustration? Photography? Video?

You could represent day time and it's light, as the "good aspect" and night time and it's darkness as the "evil" aspect. Even something as simple as a dark city night with buildings and cars and strange people, compared to a bright, sunny field with flowers and serenity.

That would one idea; if we were talking about photography. I'm not sure what you're looking for this representation for.

I'm assuming this is the black & white music video you talked about before. If so then that would eliminate using color to differentiate the two sides (beyond simple black and white). Lighting is the next obvious tool. Different wardrobes too for any people involved. How about shooting from two different angles for good vs evil?
