I only date others within the human race. nod

The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

I have no problem dating or marrying out of my race as long as I find them interesting. Although I've never actually had feelings for anyone within my own race. Never found one to peak my interest...and I haven't found one that fits my bill of "attractive". lol

All the ones I've met so far within my own race were perverts looking for citizenship. lol

I never had any problems and it wasn't because I kept anything a secret...I don't consider odd looks, finger pointing, or stupid ass comments a problem...if it's to be expected but doesn't interfere with the relationship, then there's no foul as far as I'm concerned...I'm wasn't so naive as to think that it was gonna be peachy in everyones eyes and that folks weren't having a field day making comments...in my experience, it was black dudes that were the most vocal...I can't count how many times I've heard the girl I was with asked, "why you with that white boy?" lol

but those assholes, just like the racist rednecks around here were never man enough to push the issue and always said that shit in passing- fucking pussies rolleyes...stupid shit like that is easily ignored and I was always fortunate enough to date girls/women that felt the same way...

it's probably because of al the fire-arms you carry around with you nod

The majority of my harassment came from the whites and most of it came from simply being friends with blacks since I've never really been in a relationship with anyone of any race, just simply one night sexual encounters so it's not like we were constantly out in public together. But I was constantly in public with black friends and tons of whites hated that. I got very few negative comments from blacks.

Even if I had been in public with someone I was dating, it still would have been a different situation concerning black males with me than with you because I'm gay and you're straight. You had something they wanted and were a threat to them where I wouldn't be. When I got into the gay clubs though, that's when I started getting some of the same comments from blacks that you received. Just like you were a threat to them in the straight world by having something they wanted, I was then in an environment to have something they wanted and be a threat to them also. When I started getting those rediculous comments from blacks also, it was then that I saw that there were black assholes in this world also and stopped hating my own race. I had always flaunted whatever I wanted to do previously and if white people didn't like it, they could just kiss my ass. After I started getting some of those same comments from black people also, I did the same thing with them. I still flaunted whatever I wanted to do and they could kiss my ass also if they didn't like it. I just became a bitch all the way around. lol

I have tasted many flavors--race and color never slowed me down, but culture sometimes has. And if a prospective mate needed a green card to stay in the country, fuck that....that was a HUGE no-no for me.

Going to church doesn’t make you a Christian, any more than standing in a garage makes you a car.

I am all mixed up--creole mom from New Orleans, and I'll let you break down my dad: his father had a black mom and a half white, half black dad; his mom had a white father and Cherokee mother. (And my father looks like a skinny Saddam Hussein)

Of course black folks can tell that Im black, but non blacks call me everything from Rican to Mexican to Middle Eastern.

I dated practically every race I came in contact with: black, white, latina (my preference nod ), filipino, japanese...the only problem I ever had on the dating scene was the black girls who were my homies from friggin kindergarten were pissed when we got older and I dated white girls. In my neighborhood you could date anything...as long as it wasnt white. That did not go over well with the sistahs at all.

Now my wife is from Honduras (mom Honduran, father Turkish), but she just looks Mexican. Only problem I ever had with her was in those early days...she was hot as fuck and had that chola look (mexican girl gangster) and whenever we went out, I had to deal with "vatos" pissed that she was dating a ni**er (they could tell I wasnt Mexican!).

The real problem is our three kids. THEY HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO BLACK FEATURES AT ALL!!!! The two boys look like a mix between my wife and my dad, my daughter is the spitting image of my mom...and you cant tell my mom is black until she speaks (I know that sounds horrible but you know what I mean).

It hasnt really affected the younger ones, but my eldest son is really pissed that no one believes him when he tells them he's black. His white friends say "Who's black in your family?" "My dad." Their response..."your dads not black!" His minority friends tell him that his dad is "barely black" and call him a wannabe. Really bugs him.

Now back to my wife...can anyone tell me why its okay for her to have dated nothing but black guys (she's dated hispanics and whites but I know for a fact that no one but brothas made it to the bedroom) but I was a "sell out" for dating white girls? Never understood that shit.

I'm white and married to an Asian woman. Never really experienced any problems with how we're treated or hurtful stereotypes. We're very happy. Probably because she's Thai so she does everything I tell her to, loves to have sex constantly, and I'm white so I have a big cock and lots of money. nod

lol Why do Thai people who cook in restaurants outside of Thailand cook Thai food so badly? I mean, I know some of the available ingredients may differ slightly. I know they may be used to cooking for a 'farang' palette, but what do they cook for themselves at home? We ask for them just to cook it like we're all still in Thailand and it still always comes out a little weird.

But that's more waitresses. The women cooking tend to be older. Besides, most Thai women can cook at least a fair bit, and often very well indeed.

Sometimes it'll just be different cuts of meat and a different presentation used, which throws you for a loop because in Thailand certain dishes are done the same way every time. Often the food's just not 'zab', meaning strongly but perfectly flavoured with the spicy, salty, sweet and sour combo just right. There's just usually something a bit 'off' about the dishes compared to out here. Not to mention ain't nobody eating curries with lamb in Thailand. lol

must be a Brit thing confuse

we used to have a really nice Thai restaurant but they changed owners and we've not been game to try them yet boxed

this one is 2 doors up:

http://www.saengthianthai...eaway.html

went there for a school function and someone ordered a banquet and so I got to try a bunch of things I'd never order willingly normally eek

Are deep fried stuff for western tastes? hmmm

I'd imagine that if you lessen the HOT/spicy component, the others have to be lessened too or it's imbalanced, and if you don't the other 3 components overpower.

You're such a cynic. lol If a Thai girl is in Australia studying at university I doubt she's poor and really NEEDS the money though. Most Thais studying abroad are from rich, hi-so families far wealthier than you and I, though I guess some middle-class people could also go and might work in Thai restaurants and struggle to pay their bills. There I was talking about love. lol Like any relationship, it takes patience and meeting the right person. He can keep trying, and weed out the ones only interested in his money. Fried chicken is popular here and by the sea restaurants often serve things like squid in batter.

That menu looks pretty authentic, with a mix of restauranty dishes we might order when we're out, a few everyday 30 baht dishes people eat from street stalls, but certainly not some of the very homely, basic dishes people eat at home or buy in bags from the market. I wouldn't suggest they put those on the menu though. Starters always include Chinese stuff like spring rolls, I've noticed, not that ppl don't eat them here, but it's just an occasional snack from the wet market to eat on the go kind of thing. I suppose the main difference is that Thais wouldn't split the dishes into starters, mains etc. but would just order everything they want all at once and share everything.

I've had some lovely meals in Thai restaurants abroad, and also some quite poor ones. They've just always been very different to eating out in Thailand.

He looks fine to me shrug

Since the girls are older and I doubt their parents are still paying, and they are working two jobs, and live in 1 bedroom flats with 6 others, it doesn't seem to me they are terribly well off.

My experience with these overseas students (and my stay with a typical Malaysian family in Teluk Intan) showed me the family back home goes without so their kids can study in Australia. I had to share a room with my friend, her sister and grandma when I was there eek and all 3 kids came to Australia to study.

I HAVE met an extremely wealthy Chinese/Malaysian student who asked her family to buy her a house in Toorak while she studied, and a Chinese/Indonesian guy did homestay with us and I think the conditions at our place were substandard to what he was used to - he had servants back home falloff

Ah, interesting! I guess I'm just going on my experiences in the UK. You guys aren't so far from us here though. Maybe more Asian students go to Australia to study? hmmm I met a few very snobby Thai students in England who didn't want to mix with us peasants in dorms and cheap flats. These people owned property on private islands out here (which a friend got to visit, but I didn't, probably owing to my considering them snobby meaning I was giving off an unfriendly vibe lol ). The seemingly less well off Asian students I met in England tended to be just doing English courses and not degrees.

Back on topic, though I married an Asian woman, had I ever really dated I would've been open to anybody, not just Asians. Before I met my now wife I never had a 'thing' for Asians and probably imagined I'd end up with a white woman, since that would be statistically most likely. It never really crossed my mind though as I never got out much. lol I will say since I've been with my wife and lived here in Thailand, while I still wouldn't call it a 'thing', I probably do have a fondness for Thai women. It's just because they're all around me, I suppose, and I've gotten to know so many, where when I was younger I didn't really know many women at all. lol
