I don't really agree with that. I've been watching since Season 1 first started and it doesn't make me think any less of New Jersey and it's residents. Season 2 doesn't make me think any less of Miami either.

I think most people are smart enough to realize that the people on these shows are only a representation of themselves and not all the people that live in these areas.

Maybe that comes from the many refineries, but the actions of its reality TV stars don't help our image either. That might be the case, but I think it's unfair when people place the blame on TV shows. These shows are just shining a spotlight on these places.

It's like people blaming NWA for Compton being a a gang-ridden violent criminal area. It ain't their fault it's like that.

Someone on TMZ was talking about how these kids are going to give Americans a bad name, something like what happened to America's reputation during the communism crisis when the term and the novel/movie "The Ugly American" was born. So don't tell me people don't form opinions about countries based on the behavior of its citizens.
