The lack of emphasis on the word "hot", in your signature, has been pounding on the backdoor of my anal-retentive tendencies for months now. Please tend to this matter forthwith.

Thank you,

I don't believe in fate or destiny, so I don't believe any such purpose was mapped out before I arrived.

I don't have any particular talents that are above others, if that's what you mean.

I enjoy and have a passion for many things, but none are a whole life's purpose, really.

So I'm just living life. Whatever tickles my fancy, etc.

shrug

I agree, but I still think one day I will do something and have an A-HA moment!!!

and no, not THIS kind no no no!

Oh, it's definitely possible. But, if one must err (and we all must), 'tis better to err to this pole, no?

But read the article.

Edit: Yeah I agree with the idea they're presenting. The only part I don't agree with is the part I bolded below:

Begin to understand the intention behind every action you take and make a conscious decision to do only what is right for you.

I think there needs to be some sort of moderation. Don't let yourself become too self-serving to the point you have nothing to offer to others either.

Yes, it's all about balance. I think what the author really means is, "Don't do anything that is wrong for you".

to make music in my own way. I'm not a great writer but I can play it out.

to be a positive influence on people I meet. Maybe to subconsciously point people towards God.

I seem to do these things.

To actually answer your question: what was I born to do? I would have to honestly say to write... lol

Now, that used to be a lot of creative writing but, unfortunately, that creativity became crippled by the austere technical writing in my Master's degree program...just as my undergraduate English Prof warned us about... razz lol

Write.

I mean, at first it was a "thing" to get my frustrations out. Then it became the "thing" that kept me up at night. I feel so close to it. I'm probably the worst kind of writer out there, but I love what I do. I tend to step outside of the technicalities and such just to be as free-form as hell. I dunno. I just feel like I've got so many stories in me. I've got things in my head--poems, anecdotes, etc. that I want the world to know about. I blog like crazy, have notebooks everywhere....

lol If only I could actually sit down and finish something. I HAVE technically finished a book of poetry I've been tapping at since 2007, but I've yet to edit it and do last checks. It's almost like there's a fear no one will buy it, or that it will go unseen because I can't afford the conventional method of getting published.

All technicalities aside, I was born to write! biggrin
