RIP Jack LaLanne Famous fitness guru Jack LaLanne, who preached fitness to a worldwide audience long before it became fashionable and a billion dollar industry, has died. He was 96 years old.

I used to watch his program back in the day, it was very popular. He was ahead of everybody with the whole fitness-craze. Not surprised he lived to 96. May he be resting peacefully.  | |

My grandfather used to watch him when I was little. We used to go there when after school, and we'd do the exercises with him in front of the TV.

When I was little, his show came on after Captain Kangaroo. My sisters and I would watch Mr. Greenjeans and Mr. Moose, then get up and do jumping jacks and toe touches. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves. | |

Is his wife still alive? They had a show on just a couple years ago where they excercised together. They were in such great shape and FLEXIBLE!
