I think in many cases it depends on where a person is in their spiritual walk that will determine why they need to exchange matrimonial vows. She might be in that place where she truly believes in the covenant, who knows?

I didn't see the first season, but I still say out o every one I've seen so far, she prolly could have spent more time getting to know Raphael and coming to a deeper understanding about where he is in his life and mutual expectations. I think she brushed him off too quick without finding the real of what went down when he was riding that bike with ole girl on the back, and where he is with her in his head.

Honestly I think he (Raphael) was playing her. If he can hang out with his ex like that then he's probably not ready to committ to one woman.

I'm still not understanding her need to be married. She's never been married! Why now? You can get married at any age but she has only a few reproductive years left (6, 7 maybe 8) so if she's trying to snag a hubby first I think she's wasting valuable time. Spiritual path aside, I don't think everyone is cut out for marriage and maybe this is not God's plan for her. The people we marry are not always the people God chose for us. Probably why the dang divorce rate is so high. Perhaps Chili should focus more on the qualities a man brings to shared parenthood and not so much on whether he's husband material and definitely not on whether he eats pork or if he has a beer now and then. If she crossed off those last two things from her list she'd have a wider selection of fellas to choose from.
