I've not seen the movie, but I LOVED the tv series when I was younger.

On weekdays I eat the same thing for breakfast every day - Kashi Golean Crunch cereal with organic yogurt and tea with milk and sugar.

Lunch usually comes from my work cafeteria and is usually around 350 calories as they have a "healthy choice" option and it's usually vegetarian (and it's only $3.99!). I have things like an egg white omlette w/roasted veggies and cheese and mixed fruit on the side or a portabella mushroom stuffed w/spinach souffle and served on polenta with a yummy tomato-y sauce. If the healthy choice isn't veggie I'll have soup and a breadstick or a big salad with greens, lots of fresh veggies and chickpeas and a bit of cheese on top.

Most nights I make some kind of stir fry for dinner - lots of fresh veggies, tofu, tofu skins or seitan and curry or another of my homemade sauces all over 1 serving of jasmine or basmati rice. I make lots of soups and stews from scratch as well.

Weekends are more varied and I eat out more often, but I eat fairly healthy nonetheless.

Oh, and I drink water all day at work. I almost never drink soda of any kind.

At home I make crystal light. I'm trying to get away from artificial sweeteners, but I get bored of water all day so I want some flavor sometimes. I plan to ween myself off the crystal light in a few months.

I tried to eat smaller portions more times a day but I don't know how small it should be. Feels like I eat constantly. Maybe I should modify my diet.

I just ate a bowl of tuna with lemon juice on it and some black pepper. Really boring but not terribly unhealthy which is an improvement.

Breakfast:Either Turkish style if I´m not in a hurry or German style when I´m in a hurry.

Turkish=> black tea, feta cheese, tomatoes, cucumber, black olives, marinated green olives, lots of olive oil sprinkled with paprika flakes, sometimes a boiled egg, sometimes sucuk, pita bread or simit(some kind of a bagel), sometimes tahin with pekmez, honey, and maybe one or two cups of strong Turkish coffee later ( NOT with the breakfast but as a chaser) wink

[img:$uid]http://www.tampaturkish.org/wp-content/gallery/kahvalti/kahvalti.jpg[/img:$uid]

German style is usually a cup of good, strong German coffee, rolls or toast with jam, cheese, smoked chicken breast, chocolate spread and a boiled egg. But I also love to add some peanut butter.

[img:$uid]http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1406/1139638391_111a74d81d.jpg[/img:$uid]

In general, I usually eat a lot of vegetables, homemade soups, lots of tangerines, oranges, pomegrenates, apples, plain yoghurt, peanuts, pistachios, pumpkin seeds, lots of olive oil, pasta in moderate amounts, lots of organic oatmeal, oat muesli without wheat, lots of cottage cheese, fish, squid, mussels, shrimps, sometimes a protein shake, and always a whey protein shake right after a workout. I also like avocados, sun dried tomatoes and tons of black tea and coffee but also rose hips tea or hot cocoa (organic, without added sugar....I add only a little bit of sugar to it).

I used to be a vegetarian from 1999-2004 and I´m thinking about going back to that lifestyle again or at least drastically reduce my meat consumption ( I rarely eat it anyway).

Oh, and I love sweet potatoes, broccoli, spinach and bulgur with yoghurt. And salads.

I love turkish breakfast...we have this meal for my eldest's bday every year. Wish we could do it more often.

I was the same. Had a whole mess of those Crystal Light boxes. But when I ran through em all, I stopped buying them. Those artificial sweeteners are even worse for you than sugar. They were banned by the FDA for a long time, but then lobbyists managed to get the FDA to let them through.

I try and find cordials that don't have any of those sweeteners in, cos I get bored of water too. You can usually find them at health stores. They are more expensive than Crystal Light though sad

For the past few years, my main meals would be steak, pizza, or candy bars. Sometimes I eat other things. But this is pretty much it. I don't eat very much, but when I do, I'd say 8 times it's one of the things I just named. Most likely pizza. Believe it or not, I'm doing pretty good health-wise. I haven't been to the doctor since mid-late 2008. But while I was there and they were finished, they told me my health was good, and on paper, looks perfect. My diet is the name now, so I'd imagine it's the same. Maybe better considering how much more I started working out since then.

Oh, I know it's bad, but I can't afford the calories of real sugar (like in fruit juice, for example). I'm about 30 pounds overweight and working on that right now. I eat very healthy (vegetarian, lots of fresh veggies and fruit, mostly organic, plenty of legumes and whole grains, minimal processed food, etc.), I just eat too much.

I'm going to start making water with things like cucumber and basil and try to do something fruity (frozen fruit water?). It will just take some time to work on it. lol It's hard to get over my sweet tooth!
