Eddie Murphy's ex-wife Nicole is reportedly deep in debt after blowing a multi-million dollar divorce settlement in just 4 years.
Nicole has been slapped with tax liens totaling to $846,630 by the IRS on top of her other millions of debt.  She has five children with the actor and received a generous $15M for ending their 13-year marriage in 2006.
According to media reports, she chose the one-time payout from the comedian instead of a monthly alimony. But in just a short span of time, she has not only lost her millions, she is in need of some to pay her debt.
A friend told the press, "Nicole made some bad investments with the fortune she got from Eddie, and now she is in serious financial straits."
She apparently invested in an internet jewelry business, but the venture failed so she lost all her money. She now owes $5 million on her Los Angeles home, $600,000 to a legal firm, and another $60,000 to a landscaping company.
The source added, "Nicole is overwhelmed by the mountain of debt she has piled up." | |
