love letters.... grade school, middle school, high school.... remembering more simpler times ...
did you get any love letters as a kid? did you write love letters to anyone as a kid?.. did you ever get caught with a love letter in class?
im 25 now and i remember always passing notes in class... there were many a boy friend in those days... i remember in middle school i couldnt open my locker without a note falling out of it from someone..
anyway a couple of those notes i could never part with.. i found one today tucked away in an old jewlry box.. i laughed at how cute it was .. how different my perspective on love is now and how i would pour my heart out to boys i dated within a few weeks time... somethings so simple like that just looking back brighten my day...
loving when you were young... was just what the whole world was about when i was a young teenage girl....
i love looking back sometimes
so tell me did you ever recieve any love letters?
do you have any that you have kept to this day?
did it have some significance that brings you back when you read it?
do you and your hunny still exchange little letters that proclaim your love for one another? insatiable3: how can i cure my hangover?

I used to keep a few, but I'm pretty sure I threw them all out.
I had some little love notes from a boy I was madly in love with for 2 years when I was 15-16, then possibly some scribbles from my boytfriend of 5 years, a couple of saucy letters from a guy who lived in another state. Never had one from the master though

I've never got any. I was unattractive, single until 17 and they all thought I was gay and laughed at me. What a lovely childhood..

I remember finding a note in my locker at school one day and it said 'Will you go out with me? Please post your reply to locker number ... ' So I hung around the lockers that night to see who the locker belonged to. And it was someone yucky. So I posted a reply the next day which read 'Dear ...., I WILL NOT GO OUT WITH YOU, NO WAY!' I'm in touch with him now on facebook. He's never mentioned it, neither have I.
I had a lot of boyfriends at secondary school and we always used to arrange dates and break up with each other through notes.
I kept a few love letters from a holiday romance I had when I was 13. I also have a couple of notes my husband wrote when we first started dating.

Well my hubby wrote me little notes when I had moved up North and he was moving up later in a month's time.
1. I'm standing next to the cooker because its ever so loney!
2. My dick is becoming best friends with my right hand and wants to re-acquaint himself with pussy galore!
3. I need you here really because I can't multi-task!
Oh and there's more but much much too rude to put on here!!!

Sadly, throughout my life I have more often been a writer of love letters than a recipient.
I remember writing my very first letter in kindergarten. To Timothy Janiga. I had SUCH a crush on him. And my friend Amber wrote one to Justin Berger. And we had mailboxes for our graded papers and she and I slipped our notes into each of their mailboxes. I don’t remember exactly what it said – maybe just “I like you”. And I remember looking at it and realizing I’d spelled “from Carrie” as “form Carrie” and being sad I spelled it wrong. Poor Tim didn’t know how to read yet so brought the letter up to the teacher to read it to him. I was SO embarrassed. I think he sat by me at the next story time or something but other than that I think it mostly went unacknowledged.
I wrote him a letter in 6th grade too. My crush was resumed I guess.
I still write love letters. I gave my bf a hand written card for our 6 month anniversary. I wrote him every day while I was in Thailand - though I sent those electronically, rather than an old fashioned piece of paper. And he responded every day. So I suppose I got a few back. |

I have a ton of love letters and poetry from my daughter's father; I've saved almost all of them. I've dated alot of musicians, so I have many songs that have been written about me (good and bad, haha), that I've kept. I do nothing professionally. I only do things for fun. johnart: Acrylic's old bras is where tits of all sizes go to frolic after they die. Tit Heaven.

None. But i did once get a letter from a dude that admitted he was stalking me in high school...I guess that's a love letter of sorts.

I might've written some shitty poetry back in the day. But it was by request half the time, so it doesn't really count. Shit was forced. An all out love letter...no. I'm generally not that outwardly emotional. I work more in the realm of gifts and gestures. [Edited 12/28/10 22:53pm]

Wrote and received plenty.
Wrote a few for my friends to help them in their conquests.
One of those "Cyrano" letters led to a five year (8th grade-12th grade) on again off again homey/lover/friend relationship with a girl who found out I was the real author.
Yeah, I felt bad at first, but she was awesome!

I've never written them either. I wrote hate letters to boyfriends I was mad at.

My ex-roommate used to have me author her texts to her on again off again b/f. Then we'd bet on how quickly he'd reply to what I essentially wrote. I usually won.
It wasn't all lovey-dovey and whatnot so I guess that isn't relevant.

Wrote a few, received a few more than I've written. I kept some of them, too, until just a few years ago. Did a massive cleaning of that kind of stuff (boxed relationship memorabilia, pictures, letters) and got rid of all of it.

Wish I could do that.
High school sweetheart crushed my heart...havent seen or spoken to her in over 16 years...am married with 3 kids...
And I still cant get rid of those pictures/letters/memories.

I hadn't seen mine in years. It was literally all in boxes, some of them taped closed. It was difficult to toss some of the pictures, but after I did it I felt great. The important memories (good and bad) will always be in your head, regardless.

When we broke up I gave them all back to him. A large hatbox full of empty promises and lies he forgot he told me.
When he read them he realized that he was wrong in what he said to me.
He was a marine when he sent them, and so I explained to him that he just had "jailhouse" syndrome. He wrote me beautiful lies because he needed a pick-me-up while doing time as a jarhead.
What a fucking asshole.

Not as a kid, but during the years I was with my ex we wrote (and drawed) each other tons of cards and we kept them all. I cannot look at them right now without crying though. I never got a real love letter though in my life. And I never gave one to anybody either. With a very special thank you to Tina: Is hammer already absolute, how much some people verändern...ICH hope is never so I will be! And if, then I hope that I would then have wen in my environment who joins me in the A....
