This Is Stupid,,,,,,,And Embarrassing! I don't know if its my fever, but all of a sudden my spinal chord has turned below zero and I'm spooked as all hell.
I lived and survived in the grimiest neighborhood, and now within the confides of my OWN safe home, I had to turn on the bedroom's lights & the TV because I'm imagining things and feeling some kind of presence.
Have you ever had those before?

If you're sick that's really understandable.
When you're sick, you're not at full strength and that can lend itself to feeling vulnerable.
Hope you feel better soon.

Did it continue or fade away ?
Do you feel it was just from the fever or do you feel it was more like a real experience ?
what were you imagining ?
like what kind of presence ?

I wanna say it was due to my fever. It was very sudden though, damn near felt like there was a breath on the back of my head, thats what I meant by presence. |

No. And damn. So then you don't hate to worry. This happened to me when I wanted to travel in astral - I've heard someone breathing and when I held my breath, it was still there. Hard, deep breathing..I searched for it because it freaked me out and I found out it was demon from astral world. You don't have to believe me. If so, just ignore it. |

in my new place, there is a kind of 'shadow' that drifts past my field of vision occasionally. i will catch a glimpse of movement beside me and the light will dim in a particular area of the kitchen.
i've checked the lightbulbs, electrical connections, and all is as it should be. it's not scary, but it keeps happening and each time it does i say to myself "whoa, that was weird." by now, it's happened enough that i just shrug it off... :ghostly: |

Who's watching "Candyman" now?
Seriously, I'm a spiritually well founded person, so I do believe that there're many "forms" of lives occupying this universe. I choose not to dwell on this subject though mainly because a) I truthfully haven't encountered many experiences to speak of and b) Its not the type of subject that MANY people will digest and approach with an open mind.
Now, what I felt last night,,,whatever it was, WASN'T new to me. But unlike the other times, it was very pronounced & troubling. I'm a gutsy woman, but the times I get scared(which are few & far between) I usually confront my fears right off the bat,,,,,in this scenario though, I don't know what to confront see what I mean by troubling? You have no idea how silly I feel typing this. [Edited 1/4/11 10:38am] |

difference is, i ain't skeered!
the situation i'm describing, while it intrigues me, doesn't make my spinal column go cold. if it's a ghost, it best not interfere with me....
ah... as to what to do, i'm aware that there are various means and rituals for 'cleansing' a space, or for 'communicating' with whatever may be there. if a presence were troubling me, i'd use whatever means i could to banish it, no matter how outrageous it seemed. i agree with you that there is much more than we know of in this universe
good luck! [Edited 1/4/11 10:43am] |

Cool post. What do you mean by "cleansing a space" though?
sorry, didn't mean to go below the belt!
as to 'cleansing' a room or dwelling, one such easy to employ ritual is found in the use of sage, which is obtainable in your local co-op. see, link: http://www.meyna.com/use.html andhttp://www.ehow.com/how_2...-room.html
or, you could run around the room shouting and waving a broom, while intoning the words*:
ghosties be gone!
we don't get along!
get out my way!
or i'll sweep you today!
there are other methods which involve chanting, and such. i'd try the sage first though, if it came down to it.

I can dig it
This is exactly what happened. I was wrapping up my homework project when a sudden rush came over me, this is not the adrenaline type of rush I'm talking about, its the feeling that you get when you realize that you're not really "alone". I know it sounds transparent, but thats exactly how it felt.
The minute it happened I ran to my kids' room to check on them, and they were asleep. When I got back, I turned on all the lights and the TV, all the while this feeling was still brewing inside me but gradually fading.
And that was it, in a nutshell. |

When the ghost of my grandfather used to come to me before I went to sleep, it was kinda pleasant feeling and it made me cry. It was terrifying actually. Mind you, I've had those type of experiences before but not like this, mostly they were "in passing" but this feeling lingered a bit, if I'm making any sense. Looking back, I shouldn't be scared, but "alert" was my first impulsive reaction. |
