they make some sort of "broop-ing" sound when they're afraid. Mine was always alone through the day so he was afraid of sounds and gestures so I was always quiet with him but when he stayed over at my husband's family during the holidays (3 kids) he got rid of being afraid very fast.

Some guineas might be like that... mine were pretty shy when I adopted them, but then I started playing music around them (fairly quietly of course) and they loved it... they would start popcorning to the beat! It was really quite cute smile

lol, that sounds too cute, you mean the crazy shaking head jumps they make when they're happy?

If these damn animals wouldn't die so fast I would have lots of them, they're so sweet and funny, too much sorrow for me.

yeah, no other rodents as far as I know jump like that just because they're happy,(but they have to be REALLY happy to do ityou'll never see some poor little petsmart guinea popcorning) .

Camilla used to give Charles little piggy kisses, and then he would start popcorning too... heart

some people have their beloved pets taxidermied. I know that people have done this with dogs, cats, even horses. I'm not sure that I would do it though.

had you not put a glass of punch in her hand, my family might have seen it as a loving tribute. THAT's why you and I had to have tofurkey at the diner this year.

the irony is, it was actually something she did often while she was alive.

HOW many times did we have to pry her out of the mashed potatoes after she'd fallen in, face first? lol
