Heres how our phone convo went this morning.

Okay, well first of all she's all up in my financial stuff and she knows the position were in, what kinda bills we have, and how much my bf makes at work.

So I was telling her about how Todds work shuts down the week of Christmas/New Years, and that his employer told them to go file a comp claim for that week, and the next time they shut down then, they can collect.

So I said to her, ya, do you have to pay into unemployment for me regardless of wether I am collecting or not, and she was like Ya, I pay so much in a week.

I already knew this but I was kinda waiting for an alarm to go off in her head saying, Oh yeah, Daniela, you should go file for unemployment when I let you go on the first.

She didn't and the conversation kinda ended.......she also mentioned proudly how she had never recieved an unemployment check in her whole life.....

So now what do I say??? Does she expect me to go file? Is she gonna me mad if I do?? I HATE having to ask shit like this of her, but I have to think of our future.....I just don't know how, or want to say it to her.

Thats what one of the other realtors said....well 2 of them did actually. She didn't discuss with you wether or not you were planning to come back after the baby or when you were willing to work up until, so why discuss it with her. I really was planning on working up until I had the baby and then just taking calls at home for a cpl months then coming back.

As far as knowing what my bf makes, she thinks she is my mom, financial advisor, and Don Corleone.

I was in a bad way when I started here, and took care of my debt over time. I also rent off her daughter, so in a way she kinda fucked her daughter outta possibly seeing a rent check on time next month.

Here if an employer got rid of a pregnant woman because she was pregnant they could get the arse sued off them and I mean thousands of the pounds!

Here maternity leave is either 6 or 12 months. Within that time your employer will write to you to ask if you are coming back to work - of you say yes then they cannot replace you.

Thank god I live in England. We also get Child Benefit. For my 2 children I get £135 every 4 weeks and because I adopted and my income would go down I get £484 per month plus £22.00 Child Tax Credit.

Without this money we could not surivive.

Like, me and Todd were up talking about this till all hours last night cuz I'm stressin' now, and he said for me not to even go down there and help them when I'm done since I won't be getting paid for it.
