The Irony of Growing a Beard

How ironic that the grooming possibilities for the very beard that should be somehow butchin' me up a bit seem endless. purse

falloff @ this site (which I might start referring to as the "other" org hmmm).

falloff x 1000 @ there being "Success Stories" and "Featured Beard" sections.

I want to write a Dear Beard.org... letter but I'm afraid I'll just end up blacklisting myself within the...um...beard community.

This is where my beard is at so far:

I had no idea that I was stepping into a whole "culture". I just wanted a new look. lol

First off, I'm trying to master using the trimmer to clean it up without fuckin it up and taking more off than I want.

Secondly...ah...NO.

It never crossed my mind that I might one day shampoo and condition my face.

Maybe I'll grow it really long and get a perm too.

My husband grows a beard for the winter and than shaves it off the coming spring. If you allow your beard to grow out the maintance isn't as tedious as with a short hair beard. Nice look John, manly.

What is that? If my beard grows out enough, I want to chop it into something cool and unexpected.

In other words, I want to embarrass my kids even more.

Thank you :grunt: lol

I don't want a long or wild beard tho. I can't pull off that crazed Joaquin Phoenix look.

Of course, neither can he.

I grew one about a month ago for the first time. I looked completely ridiculous, even more so than usual. It grew in completely blonde and thick, I looked like an alcoholic Hulk Hogan. Never again.

Lots of the younger 20 something guys have been growing beards (unheard of in the 80's and early 90's!) along with tightest of jeans, retro hats, retro t-shirts, etc...

This is what I'm thinking. I'm gonna give it a bit longer to see how much more it might fill in, but I don't necessarily want to go longer.

I just passed the point (yesterday was the first day) where I wasn't itchin like a mf. lol

I think I need to let it go a little bit further down my neck (the beard line) because it's currently right at my jawline, which from all the stuff I've read so far is apparently a loser thing to do. rolleyes

I'm aiming for no longer than Marc Jacobs'.
