My latest pet peeve is oneupmanship. There was a lot of that going on among the well-travelled folks I came across in Tanzania.

I don't "piss off" easy I guess ... can not think of ( in this moment ) the last time I was even slightly angry ...

a few weeks ago I dropped a whole bowl of hot chili on myself and the kitchen floor and while cleaning it up I missed seeing 2 goals scored by my fave hockey team ~ that bothered me for a moment until the replays showed

No, they were mostly just trying to one-up each other about travelling experiences. If someone said they'd been to Bali, someone else would immediately dismiss that as "touristy" and say they've been to some other obscure Indonesian island. Stuff like that.

Where I am right now, streets are mostly 2 lanes, so you either pound on the horn or grit your teeth when its an elder and tolerate their asses until or WHEN they decide to let me pass

Whats worse is when somebody is speeding up behind me and this fool in front of me STILL won't get off the fast lane.

I like to think most people only have the intentions of relating to your experience and sharing (with the intent on appearing knowledgeable of course) but it comes across as them putting down your experience.
