I bought my first firearm today

It's a Russian-made Mosin Nagant, their main bolt action rifle of world war 2, as seen in the movie Enemy At the Gates. They cranked out at least 17 million of these during the war years so there are quite a few around - hence the sweet price of $90! Very accurate and powerful. Mine was made in 1938.

Who knows when I'll actually shoot it lol

It's definitely for sport (deer hunting in the future? I've never gone before) and basically to have a nice working inexpensive piece of history. I wouldn't say it's for home protection - I'd get a handgun for that. And I don't feel comfortable a handgun quite yet. Guns are no joke. smile

I'd also love to get a Garand, and especially a Springfield.

How long does the conceal and carry class take? Sounds interesting.

That, and the scorn of orgers.

Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

Really? In Texas it's 10 hours for the original class then 4 hours for the renewal every few years and you gotta submit all kinds of paperwork.

And if you aren't going to use it, why even buy it? I hate guns so much. disbelief The fact that there was 17 million of this one gun produced and you can buy one for $90 sickens me. The right to bear arms comes from a different time when it was actually needed. .... steps off the box... won't get started....

Live on the South Side or the West Side of Chicago were thugs kick in your door and then tell me who should and shouldn't have a gun. Don't get me started

I have a permit to carry a conceal weapon but I don't in Michigan. The rules fill out a basic saftey gun questionnaire and the application and within 10 days, you recieve your permit. My father was sportsman I've been around and have shot guns all of my life.

That's a beautiful rifle, it you go out and hunt with it let use or me know how your Mosin Nagant shoots.

everyone has the right to have their own opinion on firearms, and I respect that. There are MILLIONS of responsible gun owners in the country.

don't be afraid of "americans" because we can own guns. be afraid of us because we're fat.
