I didn't say anything about waiting a long time for one, that's sad
I mean like making a new friend, as an added bonus

the weird thing is i am a stranger to the stranger

we have to trust strangers. there are more of them than there are people we know. when you walk into a starbucks for the first time, there is an implied trust that the barista will make your coffee properly. when you go to the bank, you put trust that the teller will deposit your deposit, yet you don't know them. when you have a flat tire and a policeman stops by, you don't know him/her but you trust them to aid you. when you're in the e.r., you trust the doctors and nurses to treat you. when you're in a restaurant you trust the staff not to spit into your food it goes on and on.
you can trust, despite previous experiences. you have to, otherwise you'll be stuck in a rut, spinning your wheels
