Honestly, I Do not Get Glee..

I watched a few ep's this season and i do not get it...

I am 19 so it's about my age and younger the show seem's to go for, i personally do not like the singing. It sound's to kids pop to me, there not BAD singers but definitely not great to me either. Some of the episodes had some pretty funny humor, but i just didn't think it was a great show. I'm starting to go crazy lol

Cause every week dozens of people on my facebook are like OMG Glee tonight!, OMG That number was so amazing! OMG Glee made me cry tonight, OMG did Glee make anyone cry tonight? i hear that almost weekly lol

And i watched an ep recently i still didn't think it was good lol, but i hear about it weekly, and i have a conversation with at least one person each week asking me if i watch it and then freaking out if i don't lol..

What is it about this show that make's it so great?

On a side not i loved Murphy's other show Nip/Tuck

I watched one episode at my brothers house because he watches it with his kids. I did not like it at all.

Yeah, except my brother is not very young(42).biggrin My bro and and sister in law like the show too. I am kind of ashamed of being related to him for the first time in my life.lol They have triplets that are 14 and I can kind of understand why they like it but my bro has no excuse.

what i hate about that programme is that it ruins my youth. as soon as the Glee cast covers a song the original might as well never have existed, nobody wants to know anymore

I loved the first season, but this season I stopped watching after the 3rd episode. not sure if that's because it's gotten boring or I just got bored with it.

I tend to agree, the pilot was such a breath of fresh air, but it has slowly gone downhill. I think the main problem is that with it being such a huge success its become more of a vanity project than anything else. I don't need to see guest stars, or very special episodes with only 1 artist. If the show would concentrate on the storylines and use music that propels them then I'm fine with it.

But episodes devoted to hacks like madonna or britney for no other reason than media attention ruins the creative process. Cmon this is the same guy that gave us nip/tuck which was a dark gem of a show.

I agree man, it's weird Nip/Tuck was such a great show first few seasons.

It seem's Glee is falling victim to what Tuck did but way earlier, murphy is talented but need's to maintain better control of his shows

I sometimes enjoy the musical theater aspect of it. But as good television...no. In fact, I hate pretty much all the characters on it except for Sue. I haven't watched this season at all, so I don't know if it's picked up in any way. Overall, I can enjoy it as a lark sometimes, but that's about it.

Yep. I really like the first season, but after that, it got kind of boring with the same types of story line week in and out. I haven't watched it at all the season, but I have the episodes on the DVR just in case I run out of stuff to watch later. lol
